Dammitt Dammitt Dammitt Dammitt!!!! I was supposed to make the scene with LoganAz and Co., but work would not permit. I will kick myself in the ass for a long time for not playing hooky for at least a couple of days.

'Twas Greenhorn indeed. It got much whiter later on, but Bubba (or Scotchy or I) didn't want to stop for pictures. Maybe the "chains required" sign at the DOT garage should have been a warning..........d'ya think?

    Good though.

You're right Bob, no issues and the staff was great. I felt like they were happy to see us, well, me anyways! :D

I picked up RAZR at 5 am, we drove through some rain in Mojave and picked up some health food at Carls Jr. This rainbow got so huge, it was double wide after these shots......
Did you notice what was at the end of the rainbow? I wish it was a 950SE, but I'll settle for the DR :D

We got to Furnace Creek about 12, had a beverage or 2 and suited up for a 25 mph putt (park regs) to Charlies and Mengel. Took us less then 2 hours. We were movin and didn't fracture 1 speed law:thumb Stopped at Geologists cabin and wish we had bags to stay the night. Nobody for miles, seemed like we had the park to ourselves!

I don't even want to know what went on here back in the days of the freaks, but I was feeling the vibe. :huh :eek1

Off we went down Goler Wash to Panamint Valley to Wildrose and back to camp. More tomorrow........................:slurp

No time left for pics, so we charged back to camp via Wildrose in the cold. Got down to Stovepipe and it must have been 20 degrees warmer. Good Times!:thumb
Saturday, we woke up and M1Jeep was feelin sexy gettin ready to ride while Windrat was patiently waiting. Notice Santa came to camp!
We decide on Echo Canyon, Big Dune, Beatty and Titus Canyon. Hell of a good ride with a good group of fast riders.

    Lost Again
    [IMG]
Windrat went up so fast I didn't get a chance to see him wheelie up, and he was waiting for us to show up.
After Echo, we went to Big Dune. Too much fun!
RAZR chillin at the border where Windrat had a flat (or 2)
Big Dune KICKED ASS! I was looking up a dune of about 40 degrees and there was RAZR, and he is only 2/3 of the way up this steep monster.
Off to Beatty for another 12 pack then high speed to Titus Canyon.

No more pics Saturday, we had to get back to camp for the evening.

Sunday, RAZR and I had this crazy idea to do Ubehebe Crater, Racetrack, Lippencott, Saline Valley to the Springs, Steel Pass, Eureka Dune, Crankshaft and back to camp. I was worried about the fuel and was told we could do it if we took 5 gallons of gas. So we topped off at the junction north to Crankshaft and went to the crater with full tanks.
After the crater, we were off to the Racetrack.
Off to Lippencott, only a few pics as we were riding :ricky
    [IMG]
    RAZR
    [IMG]
Made it to Eureka Dune at the north end of the park with light to spare.
Nice long ride around the dune and to Crankshaft Junction in freezing ass clear air. It doesn't look like it, but it was just about dark...AGAIN
    [IMG]

It was time to cruise back. Look at my tank, we were low on fuel with many miles to go. We picked up the gas can down by the crater which had about 1.5 gallons left, put it in the tanks which got us back to camp through cold, rain, and side winds and 245ish miles. I had a great time, all 3 rides were full day rides returning way after dark. Fun shootin the shit with everyone, good grub, and many beverages. I'm looking forward to the next ride. Here is a shot from Monday morning, another beautiful day upon us!

    Till next time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you've never been there, you won't believe how big the place is. Rides go on for hours and the scenery is killer. Make sure you have new tires because alot of slab is involved and you will lose half tread life in a weekend. I'm full n00b status so hopefully see you in March.
Here's a couple teasers from last years n00b ride...
