All I know is that I got to see a bit of dust every now and then when riding with Bob so I didn't get too lost. And he was on a 400! :huh

When we showed up on Friday there was a plastic trash bag and contents spread all over the place then the ranger showed up. My friend talked to him to see if we could clean it up and save him a ticket. He said he had already warned the people twice so we went back to minding our own business and just cleaned up what was at our camp. I thought the rangers at the gate were very pleasant and helpful, a trait government workers don't always have. No one asked me questions about the bikes either.

I had a great time down there and meeting up with so many at Mengel pass and over to the Manson cabin on Saturday was great. A good group made a fun trip even better. TOM

yea, my buddy and i cleaned up a site not far from windrat & sally.
and later that day there was even more trash spread about that campsite.

i guess the rangers get a little tired of people being stupid.

A Ranger mentioned this trash bag incident to us when he was walking around making sure there were no plastic bags out. We talked about the animals in the campsite (ravens, coyote, road runners). He pointed out that they would probably poke holes in our charcoal bag but that was not going to be a problem. (He was right, they did) He was very helpful I thought. Ranger asked me when I came in if I was with ADV riders web site... I said I was here to ride dirt bikes with some friends. He said "good answer" in a joking fashion. While leaving, the woman in the booth said "See you next year!". I do not think the rangers or the campsite helpers could have been more friendly. They have been that way every time.

Looks like a nice weekend of riding is coming together in Death Valley. I plan on going to Furnace Creek Campground on January 29, 2010 for a few days to ride my A$$ off with Mr. RAZR and anyone else that may be in the area. I hope some others can make vacation plans with their employers for some quality riding, beautiful Death Valley winter weather, and some fire pit shit talking fun. Have your equipment ready and be prepared for 200 - 250 mile rides and you may have to carry fuel to a designated "hiding place". Titus Canyon, in the light this time, is high on my priority list :clap
Looking forward to seeing a few familiar faces in the desert!
    Cheers :beer
