    No need for that, I'm riding again already, just can't make that weekend. Besides, every time I'm around John, I have a big stiffy and I don't want to put a hole in his back. Besides, RAZR would just get jealous.

    You can easily ride from Castaic or Jawbone without any pavement all the way to PS in one day with time to spare, no problem and way before dark.

    Last year in the KotW all riders started in the Piutes at Javi's place at 5:30am and cleared West Side road by 12:00 noon. That's much further than going to PS and much, much more difficult, doing Escape Route, Goler, Mengel's and Warm Springs. Hell, most of them finished in Moapa, NV about 50 miles North/East of Vegas before Dark. That's 419 miles.
