Plenty of small gatherings of people at Noobs, as well as some larger groups. If you want to ride solo, give your Spot or InReach info to someone and at least you will know they will be on the lookout to ensure you make it back. Plenty of 2 or 3 people rides as well as some larger groups, but typically all rides are probably 8 people or less usually with a dedicated leader and sweep rider. Plenty of sharing of gpx tracks and ride recommendations. Plenty of opportunities to hook up with a more seasoned DV rider to either get riding tips (learn to be a better rider) or ride recommendations (learn about DV). Joel (and some others) started a great event many years ago that has established life-long friendships among many over the years.

If you head from Tea Kettle Jct up and over Hunter mtn there is that short soft silt sand section you run into.
As you know well tuned and updated suspension is everything in DV.

I'm going to say that's important for sure, but I think the number one requirement is good, fresh tires.

Of course but if you have all of that but shit equipment... you'll probably decide to not go down that road.

Top shelf equipment can fill in the gap where sometimes that is lacking however.

Maybe it’s time for a poll?
    Suspension?
    Tires?
    Planning?
    Common sense?
    Equipment?
    Beer?
    Water?
    Space blanket?
    Riding partner?
    Gas?
    Satellite communication?
    A will?
    Etc?
    Maybe it’s all important?
