Bad gas. After running a tank through it and having completely fresh gas it runs well. It's running very nicely now.

Thanks again. I hope to see you in Enterprise, OR in June.

I checked out your monkey and I like it. The long journey wasn't a waste by any means. I enjoyed the drive, the time in DV and meeting a bunch of nice people. I'm sorry I didn't get to chat with you some but the times I saw you in camp you were super busy.

sorry Lb didn' make a point when i can talk to you in person, not typical of me. super busy yes, and after everyone goes out riding, i rested.

i like the monkey but to make it dirt worthy, i need to invest $$ to upgrade the suspension as i found out from a recent ride last week.

trying to fill up my calendar for the next 3 months. i will try to attend your Wallowa valley meetup in Enterprise OR. great place to ride and meet people. thanks for organizing it.

Injury update. I have my splint off and stitches out. I’ll be in a boot for the next 2 months which is when I should be able to walk again. PT should start next week. I didn’t get can X-ray to see the internal hardware but I got this Noobs souvenir. The pain is reducing a little everyday. 0F0AEE43-4A1B-4E64-BCCE-705F612413EC.jpeg

i have one like that in my toolbox and becoming my favorite tool....:clap

good to hear Mikey you're on your way to recovery. hope the PT is covered by your insurance. i had a PPO insurance and still have to pay like $75 per session. still worth it, besides i can't do the stretching and other exercises by myself (the low threshold for pain).

continue to post up developments. we're cheering for you.

    Hey @Lost Roadie 2 questions:
    1) what map / program are you using to have that nice topo as the base layer for your GPS tracks?
    2) any pics of that Belmont Mine Single Track Trail where you got turned around?

    Thanks!

Hello! Hardly seems like the noobs rally was 2 months ago. Here’s a quick update from my doctor visit last Friday, May 28. It’s been 6 weeks since my surgery. The doctor says his my ankle (his work) looks perfect. That comment always makes me laugh, as it seems he’s patting himself on the back but I am convinced he is a fine surgeon. Everything is progressing well. I am doing PT twice a week. On 6/24, I am cleared to begin walking. My hope or goal is to be able to ride by August. Thanks again to all those who’ve helped me and sent wishes for my recovery.
