The 'man' made the lake large enough to launch a dreadnought in....:norton
OTOH, I should have brought a flyrod to get that 'Gator....A few marshmellows would have lured his a$$ right in range....:rofl
We had enough charcoal during the weekend for a BBQ or two and 'Gatortail is :dg

It's too bad that most of y'all missed seeing that lake when it was practically dried up

The spring hole is probably 25 feet across and goes straight down

I wonder if there's any good size fish in it

May have to bring a spear gun up there and see :evil

Thanks everyone! It's always a good thing when I can ride AND get good grades. :lol3

The trip to the Keys was kind of a bust. I planned on staying a bit longer but mother nature decided otherwise. The ride down was excellent.

The first day was excellent. Camp was right on the Gulf and the weather was ideal.

Later that day, and a body full of whiskey, leads to photos as such

The morning of the third day I was greeted to 30+mph winds. The poor tent couldn't handle it and I had to pack up and head to my folks house. The ride was less than ideal.

I stayed at my folks house for a few days after that and made the 600 mile ride home. It was a long, cold day. But I found some nice roads in the process.

The next trip is two in the spring. Who's in?

I was on the northern face of sigsbee island on the Navy base. The Atlantic was a few blocks over my shoulder.

    I looked it up already

    Forgot about that area

Went to a wedding out there back in the 80s

Never realized the base had camping facilities there for the service peeps

As in, Suches GA? Man I love that place! What part of the spring are you going? Anything earlier than mid April is a lot like "wintertime" up there, at least for anybody used to FL weather:vardy

The water temps dropped to 40F in Florida Bay and as I was out yesterday for a trip, needless to say nobody caught anything but a cold... :puke1
I lost about 4 shrimp and a block of chum in 4 hours of freezing my nuts off...:huh
