Well to my surprise, the weather folk said to expect some of the white stuff over the next few days. Seems winter is following me around. WTF

Yup, welcome to the high desert in December and January :vardy.
About the same elevation there as here and tooo flipin cold for me this time of year also. Waaaaaay back in 2011 it got down to -15 for two nights and 9" of snow, it was a freak storm.
Give it a couple weeks and it will be in the 60's again we'll hope.

Well I'm not waiting. I'm moving on the 3rd to Arizona to ride with another inmate. But I'll be back in Deming when I'm done there. Couple weeks or so, im really liking new Mexico and want to ride in the Gila more once the weather breaks some.

Snake, sucks that your not finding the warm weather your searching for.
Up here in Northwest Pa. the temp. has been about 20 degrees above normal.

Well not the warmest day I have ever seen down here...or the driest clay, but the ride up the CDR up to Silver City was still fun Snake Oiler. Good lunch at Vickies as well. It got warmer heading back down to Deming after I left you. 188 miles total.

Looks like 50ish weather is here for at least another week as well. Just not warming up like last year for sure. ENE winds today. That tells you all you need to know down here.

I'll 2nd that. That was a great start to riding together. As for the weather, well it's been up and down ever since I got here in early December . I'm sure better still to be hard.

That has not been the case down here so far RideFreak.... I wish you were right but the long range says way until end of January before we get well into 60s. This reminds me of 2011 winter. A lot of wind out of Amarillo instead of Baja/ Yuma. just have to be patient or put on a lot of clothes to ride I guess.

At least you don't have to worry about overheating your bike or sweating too much.

Yeah, I drove back from EP thursday and it rained the entire way. It's been unusually wet since Christmas. It's snowing here right now.

The way I keep looking at it. Is it's way better than what western Pennsylvania is looking like

Well sor,I let the thread peterm out. But thought I'd touch base on my time in Deming.

While here I've met up with a couple good inmates, SquatbirdJunior and Branchbuster. Both good guys and have spent some awesome time on the desert with. And I should add I also met another inmate that turned out to be too good for him to hang with the likes of me. I'll not mention his name, but his one of the more known from ADV for some ride reports. But he's not much of a person in my eyes.

So with out going to deep into detail, I'll just post up some pictures and try to keep up,a little better from now on.

    Oh and you'll probably notice I picked up another bike while here too. Wink-wink 20190119_135230.jpg 20190208_145758.jpg 20190208_123823.jpg 20190202_125154.jpg 20190119_135230.jpg 20190208_145758.jpg 20190208_123823.jpg 20190202_125154.jpg
