    “I want to be seen!”

    Screenshot_2019-05-08 Driving Lights.png

We all want to be seen! So, your designers and engineers at Denali are constantly coming up with new ways to make sure you are, and they’re creating them with high-quality products, and smooth plug n' play installations. Because let’s be honest, we are not all electricians, and most of us would rather ride than read a voltage meter and scratch our heads.

We want to get to know you and what you need, and we figure the best way to do that is to help you get to know us.

As a company that is always looking for ways to make all the accessories you need for your bike integrate smoothly with each other, Twisted Throttle searched for a lighting company to work with in order to create simple solutions for riders wanting better visibility. When they were unable to find what they were looking for, they chose to look within, and create what they wanted.

Denali’s head designer, Nate Bastien, originally came to Twisted Throttle from the Rhode Island School of Design. His first few years were spent with companies such as SW Motech, developing products for the American market. Now, he designs how you see and how you are seen.

As a rider, Nate knows that auxiliary lighting, horns, and easy plug-n-play wiring is key to motorcyclists being safe and having fun. Nate’s primary goal with Denali accessories is to deliver very high-quality product, at a reasonable price point. But, he also knows that sharing of information leads to better products, smoother installations, and more time for fun on the road or trails.

So, we are bringing you this thread. When we have new or updated items, you’re going to find them here. This will be your first look at new products! But…there might be times when we are looking for your help, also. Your feedback and ideas are key in helping Nate, our lead engineer Greg, and the rest of the Denali crew bring you the best lighting and horn accessories.

Help us and your riding community out by giving us your feedback. We’ll be tossing questions up here now and then. We look forward to discussing new ideas with you, and building a safer and more fun environment for motorcyclists.

Stay tuned for a whole separate thread where we ask to see your set-up. Many people ask for pics of inmates' bikes showing what they have, and we thought we'd provide a place where they can find answers, and you can share your knowledge with others.

    Overland Expo West 2019

Often we see inmates here asking for pictures of other riders’ setups with their Denali lighting, and even Soundbomb mounting. If you are going to Overland Expo West this weekend, make sure you drop by the Twisted throttle booth. There will be some cool things to check out!

--Greg Gavitt, our head engineer who helps create these products you use, will be on hand to talk all things Denali.

--See an 850 GS demo bike with Denali product, showing how it all mounts, and gives this sleek bike it’s Mighty GS look!

--Friday night!! Come by the booth after the sun goes down to see a demonstration of how Denali lights actually light the night. We will have distance markers and light meters to give you a better idea of how you see and are seen in the night as you ride.

On top of all of this, Twisted Throttle will be giving out super secret discount codes for anything you order within the week following the show. So come by, say hi to Greg and Mr. Twisted himself—Erik Stephens—and show us your ride!

    See you this weekend!

    Light it up!!!

Introducing our all new 15,000 lumen pair of lights

    Denali D7

    d7_led_light_1.jpg
At over 15,000 lumens, the DENALI D7 light kit is one of the brightest LED lights under 4.5 inches period. A pair of D7s feature 14 high-intensity, 10-watt LEDs that are focused through a proprietary single-piece optic specifically engineered to create a full bodied spot beam that can reach over 1500ft at an intensity of 1.0 lux. That is a lot of light!!!

    D7_harley.jpg

A pair of D7s will produce more than twice the light output of the D4. Not only are the new D7s incredibly bright, but they're strong, too. The robust heatsink and Active Thermal Management work together to keep this high-powered lamp cool enough to maintain maximum light output when you need it most.

    D7_ktm.jpg

The specially developed optics on this light spread the beam pattern to near-flood, resulting in an amazingly wide (200ft) beam that helps illuminate the sides of the road. You know what else that helps eliminate? Deer, elk, moose...whatever you don't want to hit while you're out riding!

These lights are amazing! Click here for all the info you could possibly need on them -- Denali D7 2.0 TriOptic LED Lights

While some of you are whizzes when it comes to electronics, most of us (me included...) are not. Choosing the right lighting, and wiring it in to your bike, can seem intimidating, so we want to share this short video to show you how simple it really is.

Easy, right!?! Those Denali DR1 2.0 lights help make you more visible to drivers, but also help light up anything you might encounter on the road. But, if you're wanting ALL THE LIGHT, check out our brand new Denali D7 2.0. The newest member of the Denali family packs in a whopping 15,000 lumens worth of brightness, and are just as simple to install.

And, if you're still unsure about installing them yourself, remember, Twisted Throttle will be at the BMW MOA Rally doing installs. Those guys know how to do it, so you don't have to!

We are back at work after the AMAZING BMW MOA Rally in Lebanon, Tennessee last weekend. Were you there??
Our installers worked well into the night for everyone who wanted new Denali lights and horns, and our head designer Nate Bastien and engineer Greg Gavitt were on hand. Lots of questions were asked and answered, many people had safety added to their bikes, but we also did a couple of fun things you may not have known about.

Denali Electronics is the official light sponsor for the Motorcycle Relief Project. If you do not know about MRP, click on the name and have a look. MRP is a not-for-profit located in Colorado, helping veterans with PTSD. We are proud to outfit their lead bikes with all the necessary light to get them safely through backcountry Colorado. This year, Twisted Throttle and Denali built two bikes for the MOA Foundation bike raffle fundraiser that will be benefitting MRP.

These bikes are so cool! And, if you are a BMW MOA member, you could win one!! Twisted Throttle did the builds and we supplied the lights and horns, including the new D7s and S4s.

BMW Brand Ambassador Shawn Thomas and Twisted Throttle's founder Erik Stephens were on hand to reveal the raffle bikes.

    IMG_5947[3085].jpg

    IMG_5958[3086].jpg

Friday night, we had a fun time out in a field, testing Denali lighting against stock lighting on several different bikes. Markers were lined up down the field to measure distance at speed, and light meters were brought out by a number of attendees to see how it measured up. I think even T-Rex got in on that action, though I am not entirely sure where he had been hiding his light meter...

    IMG_5980[3087].jpg

We had a great time at the rally, and hope you did too! If you had lights installed, post a pic up on our new page showing Denali set ups--Shine On And Show Us Your High Beams! We want to see what you got, and hear how you like it.

If you are a BMW MOA member and 1) Like those bikes, and 2) Want to support an amazing cause like the Motorcycle Relief Project, buy your raffle tickets starting September 1!! (Just a quick heads up...I will be buying tix for both of those reasons!)

    New lights--arriving in July!!
New Denali S4 2.0 TriOptic LED Light Pods
    S4_LED_Light_Kit_1_180x.jpg

Looking for great light that won't break the bank? We've got it!

The S4 is the first light we developed as part of our new S-Series product line. At over 3000 lumens and only $110 per pod, the S4 provides more light per dollar than just about anything else out there. The new S-Series lights were specifically engineered to reduce cost without sacrificing performance, quality or durability. In fact, the S4 features the same high intensity LEDs as the D-Series lights, but utilize a single-piece optic and sealed beam construction to reduce the number of unique components. The result is a super durable high performing light, perfect for you off-roaders. The fixed lens features two flood optics and two spot optics to create the ultimate hybrid beam pattern; a super wide close-range flood and a piercing spot beam in one housing.

    S4_LED_Light_Kit_2_2000x.jpg

And, just like you find with D-Series lights, the S4 features DENALI’s innovative DataDim™ Technology that enables the lights to be upgraded in seconds to dual intensity by connecting a plug-n-play DataDim™ Controller (DNL.WHS.11000) that will automatically switch the lights between half and full intensity with your vehicle's original high beam switch.

Add them to a bare bike, or to a bike with OEM aux lights that just aren't quite cutting it for you. Their compact size and super durable case make them easy to mount anywhere!

    S4_LED_Light_Kit_3_180x.jpg
Check them out, and hit us up with any questions you might have!

    Hey guys--thanks for your questions!

The CANsmart is currently in development for the KTM system, and about 90% done. It is on track for release towards the end of the year.

And, we are excited to be getting a 790 in the design lab in two weeks to begin development on bike-specific horn and light mounts. If you've been working with your bike and there is anything you think might be worth noting, now is the time to let us know!

    Thanks again!
