Does anyone know if Denio has a gas station? I'll be coming from Lakeview, OR. and want to take OR205 north to Burns but I don't think I can go 238 miles on a tank.

No sweat, might even be late 7 days a week. Expensive
Also in Fields daylite hours. Cool Place
    Usually in Frenchglen
also Burns Junction, Crane and Diamond.

Fields to Burns is paved. Other routes good gravel.

I was there on 6/30 - there is NO open gas station in Denio Junction anymore (it's closed with a sign telling you to drive to Fields, OR for gas) - Denio itself has a car service and towing place but no gas that I could locate - I barely made it to Fields Station (very nice polace - but was changing oweners on the day I got there).

Yes, at the junction of the road from the south and the road west to Lakeview in OR - seemed like nothing of anything anymore. Everything was closed. Couldn't tell when they closed but it looked like it wasn't a recent or temporary event. Too bad as that seemed to be the only thing around.

Locals told me he just couldn't make any money. Also closed a store further north, French Glen I think. Regular was available on July 12 in Fields.

There is fuel at Adel and they live there and will open any time anyone need help. No credit cards!! If you are going east there is fuel about 20 miles north of Winamucca at Paridise Vally Road. I think that's about where I took this picture Aug. 10th 04.

I had one about 15 years ago for a pit bike. Try as we might we couldn't hurt that thing. Just bought a 2004 for my wife and I end up riding it more than she does. That is my adventure bike for the time being.

I sure have a soft spot for them as well.
Thre wife now rides an XT225 offroad and locally as it is a bit better going down the asphalt at 60.
But whenever I see a steal on one I usually but it and play with it a while.
My last one went to Baja. I sold it to a local guy who built a big rack on the side of it for his surfboard. He summers up hgere and wnters in Baja and lives about 5 miles from the beach. This guy is 65 years old!
I got $1,650.00 for a 1989:evil I lke the newer ones as they have a disc brake on the front:thumb

I just ordered a 1 tooth bigger cs sprocket to make it a little more streetable, and I am thinking about trying to richen it up a bit. I think they send them out real lean to meet emissions. I would like to change the muffler too, try to let it breathe a little better. Maybe I can modify some contempory spark arrestor.[IMG]
