Has anyone in the 6'5" tall range used this fairing? Great looking piece but I would hate to buy it then find out it's not for somebody my height. Thanks.

I like the look but i just don´t have the $ to buy one, i´m hoping someone who is god at workin in fiberglass can make a copy (or similar design) and start selling them for a 3 of the TT price. Has anyone tried to make one ?

I think the only people that are going to buy them have bought them and everyone else is moving on... or waiting for a price drop :evil

Anybody? Any taller guys? I'm 6'3" with a custom tall seat. I have a Ztechnik Tall with mirror extenders and I'm banging the screen with the levers. Plus the Ztech clips my loud Shoei at forehead level.

I'm tempted to pull the trigger on this thing.

Maybe the TT guys will let me demo one?

I sent an email to Touratech last week asking them about their pricing policy (in general)... they're advertising a logo'd camping chair on their site for $40 and the exact same chair is down the road at REI for $20.

I asked them if the pricing policy extended to the extremely expensive Desierto Screen.

To no surprise I have heard no response.

Anyone else care to chime in regarding their pricing policy. If so, please send me an email to mark_mcd@mac.com and I will compile a list of 'concerns' to forward to them.

    cheers,
    Mark

uh.....they can price their shit at what ever they want.....buy it or don't. They moved first for this bike with good quality stuff, and their shit is over priced IMO but it's theirs to price.

I have a watch for which a basic service job including cleaning,
a zillionth of a dram of lubricant and maybe a new O-Ring costs
    $700.00

I always felt that when i'd send it in for service, guys in the back room
would be slapping their thighs with tears streaming down their faces
and shouting... " Look... we got another one".

Whenever i look at this fairing i imagine a bunch of guys in a backroom
@ Touratech basically doing the same thing.

Maybe if you read the first part of my comments you would understand the reference. It's the fact that they have double the price of the same product sold in a nearby store (the chair)... this is the basis for the questioning of the $800 price tag. Is it over inflated profit like the chair.

    maka sensa?

I agree that it is over inflated...BUT as long as people pay the price they ask...they won't lower it. IF people quit buying and they had shelves full of stock then the price would come down...supply and demand.

understand totally and understood totally not mad and not bothered by you post.....I totally agree with you BBBBUUUUUUTTTTT It is their shit to sell for what people are obviously willing to spend. I have to tell you if I could sell a dollar item for ten bucks because I put my label on it????????? I'm ordering 10,000 new labels baby!!!!! WTF it's called Free Enterprise, and this country was made as strong as it was (past tense was intended) because of it.

Personally I kinda like the fairing design and lay out. No way in hell would I pay that much for it. Kiss my ass. BBBUUUUUTTT there are people who will pay for it, so more power to TT to make what they can.

I'm just pissed that I'm gonna be one of those poor bastards that will end up buying the damn thing. It does look like a top notch product for damn sure. Just wish i didn't have to part with $800 US to get it.

The Aeroflow is so much less expensive for this bike. Is this one really that much better? I've got the Aero on my 1150ADV and love it.

Doubtful. Since Touratech USA is simply an importer of the fairing, they will just continue to import these big ticket items a handful at a time so as not to have shelves full of them. Likewise, I'd bet Touratech Germany is probably not churning out thousands of these.

I doubt it unless they are way less expensive in Europe. I was referrig to the manufacturer.
