    Here we go again.

sold my last one in 2017, had many bikes since, but keep coming back to a good ol dr650.

DFCR you ask? Damn Fine City Ripper

Today started at 5:30am, a quick blast to Vegas to meet the seller of this bike who came from StGeorge, Utah.

    quick transaction, load it up

Hop back in the rental truck (a fuckin gladiator?) and head 260 miles back home……

    but first

When in Vegas, you MUST have White Castle. 4 pack of jalapeño cheese sliders, and some fries, a Dr Pepper, and we’re good to make the trek home.

Home safe, bike unloaded, rental returned…… that’s all for today.

some parts already inbound, I know I’m
Not the only one that buys parts before he buys bikes.

thanks Rudy, it'll undergo a reasonably thorough, but simple transformation, working on getting all the parts coming now that i have the bike in hand. should be able to finalize ordering that stuff tomorrow.

    Thanks George.

got rid of the ranger in June when I left my job, gas out here is killin me, $100 to fill at times(usually fill about every 4 days). So, ordered a new maverick pickup, due in hopefully November. Should return 50% or better fuel economy vs the ranger. Been rolling heather’s fiat and sharing it, and it’s been working out great.

I feel your pain on fuel costs. Granted ours is a lot cheaper than yours, but I’ve been towing a lot lately for both work and pleasure and buying 70-90 gallons of diesel per fill-up is getting a bit painful. Thankfully I have several bikes to ride when I don’t actually need the truck.

It’s pretty decent, has had a lot of shit done to it. Gonna take some unfuckery to make it up to “snuff” but the bones are good.
