final coats on the bench today, aint perfect, but its just gonna get fucked up anyways.

so, now i gotta figure out how to get it home. and what to do with the white elephant in the garage......

    https://advrider.com/f/threads/tradesman-truck-topper-for-new-ford-ranger.1503957/

so I've been storing my shell since i sold my truck in june, it takes up 1/4 of my garage.... I'm at the point where i value the garage space more that what the camper will bring me monetarily. i can't move my toolbox into location with the camper there, etc etc. I've been lagging so hopefully someone would buy this thing (its on offer up, craigslist, expo, WTW, here, etc) and nothing yet. so, i think I'm gonna have to just cut the fucker up and scrap it. shame to scrap $4300 of money, but i want my damn garage back. if its not gone by next weekend, I'm gonna chop it up and scrap it.

That would be a shame to cut up that shell. Can you stand it up with the doors flat on the ground on a furniture blanket and the top against the wall to save space until it sells? I can come help you if you need it.

Nah, it’s just in the way at this point. I’ve been trying to sell it since June. If it ain’t sold yet, it ain’t gonna sell. I’ve got it down all the way to $900, still no traction, it’s because it only fits one specific truck. Lesson learned.

I’ll give it til next Friday, then I’ll dismantle some, and cut her up.

Call your local Ford dealer. They might buy it on the cheap. I’ve sold tonneau covers to my local dealership.

Had to dismantle an 18-month old set of washer and dryer this past June because they wouldn't sell. Recycled the metal.

yeah its kinda crazy. but i also understand i built it more as a camper shell than a utility shell. so the market is quite narrow.

We have had very good results posting things for free, you haul.
That would save you the trouble of cutting it up and hauling it to the dump.
There are many who would like the chance to make money on things and I tell them I will not mind if I see it relisted to sell, I just want it gone.

Not everything will find a home though, I spent the afternoon loading my trailer (one armed) with an old metal desk, an old rocker recliner, and an old worn out office chair. Actually they were all so bad I didn't offer them for free because nobody would want them! But free things are often quick to go.

Oh! One other excellent method is to put it out at the end of your driveway with a "For Sale" sign on it, then be away from the house for a couple days.
    It may well disappear!
