I think that if I were ever in the unfortunate position to have to sell all my bikes the TW would be the last to go. It doesn't do anything particularly well except make me happy every time I ride it

I stopped to visit a friend in Ohio that always has some good stuff for sale. I got some bike stuff, but the coolest thing he had was this old air boy boat motor. @riggpigg is big into boat stuff, so i sent him pics and he had me pick it up. I really want to get it running and bolt it onto a bicycle.

Now that's an eclectic load, even by your standards. Whats the sidecar go too? Early Indian? Or is it hooked up to the Cushman?

I was going to put a 38 sport scout powerplant in a cushman chassis I had a few years ago and build an Eagle Scout.

But the frame would really need some serious modifications height wise for it to fit.

I had an eagle years ago with a BSA C11 motor and Norton trans in it. A friend of mine kept bugging me about it, so I finally traded it off. I dont think he has ridden it since, and he won't sell it back to me.

I know there is a lot that goes into making the sportster unit fit. The Eagle Scout would be really cool.

I had a Triumph 500 pre unit motor and trans in a Mustang chassis back in the 70s. I had to lay the motor forward a bit to get a good fit. It was a handful to ride, but I was young!

When I was about 12 my dad picked up a Cushman Eagle. The engine turned out to be shot and the trans was broken too. Rather than rebuild it, he bought a new 10 hp Briggs and Stratton engine, put a jackshaft behind the engine and fitted the primary with a centrifugal torque converter off a snowmobile. A non-direction tractor lookin tire on the back with some expanded metal on the sides and BAM! That thing would do 70 and it would climb like crazy. It had the cushman tank and the briggs tank. It really was a lot of fun. Wish I could lay my hands on it now!
