Well it's been a while Not sure whether to resurrect this thread. Maybe I'll wait until the weather clears Cheers, Dickyb
Well 2014 saw a few visitors come and go The first of which was Tee Bee of this site, probably more renowned for his Sibirsky Extreme shenanigans with Walter. On this occasion Terry was on his way back to Blighty after dodging the rain in Georgia for the previous couple of weeks. We headed off to the hills around Gombe for a pleasant day out Higher and higher we went :eek1 Along goat trails It was only at the top of the pass that Tee Bee admitted he wasn't particularly keen on heights :huh:huh Give him a swamp, dodgy river crossing or Siberian tiger to wrestle with and he's happy as a pig in Who knew, huh? Certainly not Hakan who got on the phone to tell all his mates Fortunately Tee Bee had a vertigo free departure the following day as he set off for Bulgaria. We would next meet at a Romania wedding the following month Cheers, Dickyb
great new pics of TB, and yes that vertigo stuff really sux, just had my first ever case of it out of the blue, was like the worst sea sickness one could ever imagine. Apparently its associated with aging as one approaches 50
Jealous. I've just noticed a £79 return flight from my local airport to Antalya next week. Extremely tempted. Do you think one needs to make a reservation for the Girdev Camp? http://girdevcamp.com/eng/
I wouldn't have thought so DavidM1. To be honest the place strikes me as a very hit and miss affair. Whenever I have passed through the place has only been tended by gardeners/labourers. I met the owner about four years ago, I didn't stay long Cheers, Dickyb
OK, cheers. I might stop for a çay there one day, just to have a look. The Yeşilbarak-Girdev-Yuva-Seki track looks like it might be fun.
