Tentative. 2 up w/ a 13 year old boy. KLR. Repeat Dino rider. Trailer to Ft. Collins/Lyons then ride over. (No baling out on us if it starts raining and gets cold like some other group of Colorado riders I rode with last fall!)

I can offer up vehicle/trailer parking just outside of Ft Collins for those that need it. Several other out-of-state riders have dropped off at my place and not had an issue.

I love this picture. Echo park camp is in the lower left. It nicely shows the mitten Creek Fault and the awesome geology of the area.

And I have put TWO options up on my page for DAY 1.
Option 1 is all good county roads, over Ripple Creek PAss
Option 2 has some BLM two track, not hard, a quick track North of US 40 , then cross US 40 at Lay. then adobes south of US 40 and DUffy Mountain, overlooking the Yampa 9 miles of slab and then through the Jensen Wildlife area to Meeker via some county roads.
Then we will Slab out of Meeker for about 20 miles to the Crooked Wash track. NOTICE the tracks do not take us up CR 14 at Elk Springs, There is some BLM two track we will take out to Wolf Creek then up to CR 14,OR you can decide to take the quick track to Echo up 14.

    tracks are at http://nyoast.weebly.com/tracks-new.html

Norm, let's see if we can please sign up another friend of mine (gonna be on my team) who is not on ADVrider nor is he near internet service (the lucky bastard) at this time. Name is Mark Zink, so since he's not here to give himself a proper rider name, let's call him "Cornetto".

Tentative "IN"... Lots of logistics, including but certainly not limited to, getting 2 to 3 weeks off from work plus getting me and my bike out there from Jersey --- If I'm coming, it ain't gonna be just for a weekend, and the Dino would just be my starting point.

I've been drooling over this Dino ride for a couple years now. Of course I love the "epic" Colorado mountains (doesn't everyone???), but I also have a thing for the rustic, vast, open spaces. The CO NW really intrigues me. I also really dig the whole "vibe" of this ride :beer (again, I've been lurking for a while......).

Will need some help getting a spot on a team :deal. I'll be on my much beloved '09 Husky TE610 and ready to ride --- I ain't no speed demon, but would prefer a team that's more likely to choose the dirtier alternative routes.......

Will be working hard to push all the right buttons on this end, to pull this off!!!

Count me in! I've had my eye on this ride a couple of years since I moved out here and it never worked b/c of some conflict or another. Really looking forward to making it this year and meeting some fellow inmates!

There are easier routes for big bikes if you don't want to ride the harder bits.
