DIY storage tube write-up, with locking interface! Vstrom

    I used the 4" plastic sewer pipe (green stuff) as it was a little lighter in weight - between the thicker SCH40 PVC and the massive PVC endcaps, the dang tube would've been heavier than anything I could put in it!

    I affixed mine to a Dan Vesel soft-luggage stand-off using aluminum strip and stainless bolts. Nothing moves and the colors sort of compliment my gray 'Strom.

    Old Thread, Different Idea...
    This is just using 90mm stormwater fittings, 100mm sewer could also be used albeit its pricier and a little heavier.
    One of these is shown with a rough guard I made with a couple of glued up pieces to stop items in the tube fouling the lock.
    The lock is just a cheapish furniture drawer lock.
