what a bunch of nuts only the 16th of January and we have the bobsledding team member count at 2. :): who's next to enter the bobsledder's hall of fame? Step right up
Baldy, Perfect sag-wagon for your upcoming wintertime Alaskan adventure! I wonder how well that thing works when the temps drop to 50-below... Marc
I want to set up some comfy chairs ... cooler ... maybe even a barbeque up top ... bunch a good friends and Baldy in charge of the 'adventure destination' ... leading and tour guiding ... the way!!!!! Rumor has it ... for those that remember the Baldy / Angus connection ... Baldy grabs the front bumped and lifts up to his chest 10 times before beginning each training session!!!! Err ... or is the bumper already at chest level???
<img src="http://www.macaskill.com/GeneralTallTales/Angus/AngusFriend.JPG" width=382 height=461 hspace=8 vspace=8 align=right>Lest anyone forget, my great uncle Angus was 7'9" tall, 425 pounds, made cRAsH look like a gIrL. Thass right. He didn't need to slip around on the ice trying to pick up a GS; he could've just glared at a spectator and asked "whachoo lookin' at? Come here and pick up this bike." And they would've.
If it makes you feel any better I think that that dent in your exhaust near where the sidestand sits may have always been there. Every GS I've seen has it. I think that's how they're designed.
I'm feeling even better now ... thanks!!!! Fish ... I'm a little dissappointed ... I would of thought you'd be all over that one!!!!! Don't you know everything????? Are we more RT in tune than GS???????
Howdy Arbey, I rode my GS in the snow for the first time about a month ago when I had the differnt final drive installed. The snow was no problem, it's where the cars had spun thier tires and packed it into ice that life became interesting. Tomorow I and many other riders will be riding down to the State Capital to participare in a Motorcycle rights activity, the forecast is not looking good, rain for sure, possiable snow flurries. When I get up in the morning I will decide weather to ride or drive, but knowing me, it will be ride, wish me luck.
Just checking ... and you have indeed confirmed ... still living vicariously through 'old uncle Angus' ... eh???? Though a lean mean triathlete ... deep down inside ... you've always want to be in the 'Strong Man Competions'!!! But alas ... not to be ... just a life of freakin speedos & spandex biker shorts not to mention gay boots!!! Oh my my ... I here Angus rolling over in his grave as we speak!!!!! Just imagine what he'd do to you ... if he got one of those big mitts on your sleek slender bod!!!!!! Can you say ...OUCH!!!!!!
I don't know what I'm talking about??? I noticed a small indentation down there ... right about where the center stand knobby come up to ... and though my fall must of done that. It would be a great design idea though ... cause lots of us GS boys drop them once in a while ... cause weez all adventurers!!!! A pic to confirm would be great ... thanks ... though I'm banking on Moon to know exactly what he's talking about!!!!
html...what a fucking mess. i dunno how to edit this thing. Like it's so friggin' hard to use [img :huh What baldy didn't tell you, was that uncle angus wore a size 6.5 shoe. I understand it was quite entertaining watching him in a strong wind
Actually, that's not great aunt, he looks girly by comparison to you-know-who, but he is in fact exactly 6'4". I am exactly 6'4" too (triathlete-sized) and here's what I looked like next to him: And here's fish's point of view while looking at him: Never mind the stray reference to what triathletes wear.
That a boy Pork Chop ... I bet nobody else could of put it in gear ... and snapped that throttle open ... and got that bike rolling again ... but you!!!! Obviously the leaning on the rock thing was intentional ... and for the photo shoot only!!!! And obviously you weren't pinned ... but positioned ... to as it were ... 'ride it up'!!! Geez ... this could score some big points in Baldy's adventure poll !!!! Good luck with the continued sales pitch ... to all who actually witnessed the incredible event!!!!!
Thanks for posting the pics ... exactly what I thought to be a minor dent!!! Nice to know it's a designed indentation!!!!!!!!!!!
