You asked for it ... you got IT! Mark your calendars!

    Downieville.DAZE! June 25-28, 2015

Time for some technical Tahoe N.F. singletrack! :ricky We had so much fun last year on my birthday ride
(ride reports start on page 14), that we have to do it again! :clap June this year in hopes of a little cooler
weather. Juan & Steve gave me good local info on conflicts and we picked the June 25-28 weekend.

If you need an improved campground with piped water & pit toilets ($21/night), then the Packsaddle CG
on Packer Lake Road is the place to make reservations. I have already made Thursday-Sunday night
reservations for Site # 003. If we can reserve sites 002 & 004, and then snag site 001 (not reservable)
like we did last year, we'll have plenty of space for moto campers. 6 persons/site, 2 vehicles/site,
$5/night per extra vehicle. Those with long RVs or trailers should look for Packsaddle CG sites with
    longer driveways.

Obtw, this campground (& all other CGs in the area) WILL be fully reserved long before that weekend.
Reserve soon if you want a good selection. Post your site #s & how many folks are coming.

If you don't need no-stinkin' improved CG, then (FREE!) dispersed camping is available just up the
same road. No campfires in dispersed camping though. More details later.

Reserved Packsaddle CG Sites & available guest spots:
    02 - brents347 (2)
    03 - catfish (3)
    08 - Spartan (?)
    09 - miks (1)
    10 - TeamJunk (?)
    11 - ravine (?)

I'm planning to make Friday-night dinner reservations for the group at the Packer Lake Lodge again.
What a treat! Let _me_ know if you want to be included in the group reservation.

Did I mention some of the most beautiful lakes & hiking trails in California?!? :clap

Plenty of technical singletrack, jeep trails, & forest roads in the area for all levels of riders & motos. We'll help folks
pick compatible routes for them. GPS tracks will be available in camp.

    Many more details later.

All right, well, if I didn't screw anything up, I just reserved site 002 for the 25th-28th. Also only 1 of 6 folks so far. I just thought I'd tie up another site.

See you there! Look forward to the riding.

Just updated the 1st post with reserved sites. THANKS everyone!

wrk2surf bring Adam & the rest of the Sierra crew.

Perry bring theGrinch & that Sequoia Riders cap you or Jeff still owe me!

Mark & others, Packsaddle CG is at ~6100 ft. Downieville at 3000 ft. & Sierra Buttes L.O. over 8300 ft.
If my memory serves me right ...NO CELL PHONE COVERAGE IN THIS AREA! Wifi at the pizza-burger
place in Downieville & a pay-phone outside the gas station. Oh, a pay-phone in the parking lot of the
    Packer Lake Lodge.

1224R, I understand about some wives...
Mine has camped with me twice since 1977. I'm going to offer her a Packer Lake Lodge cabin if it will get her
and our dogs up there. She'll probably whine about that costing too much though. D'OH!!!
If your family bails, bring Razr! :eek1 :lol3

About 4 miles to Bassetts restaurant and about 9 miles to Sierra City. And then about 10 or 12 miles from Sierra City to Downieville.
