I like the stained concrete because I have 3.5 miles of off road riding trails and tons of friends that have dirt bikes. Haha.. I do use rugs in the bedrooms and the upstairs has Berber carpet. What is nice about the 10” concrete is that the building stays at a constant temp it seems. Warm in the winter and cool in the summer. My power bills are typically $45/month and I have no gas just electricity.

Thanks for the info. I’m mixed between stained concrete and VCT.

This will drastically vary by region, design, options, etc. I was quoted $58 sq ft, which was basically an insulated building with doors, and trim ............. nothing else.

I found a local contractor that had built several garage/house combos that I thought was a better financial option.

Don. I am glad to see you breaking ground on your dream. For me, it's between something like this or a van, if I make it to a point where I can punch that clock for the last time. I am looking forward to watching your progress my friend.

My “domesticated/whipped” friends have been “designing by committee ! “You should add walk-in closets”. “You should add a kitchen island”. “You should add a blah blah blah ...........”. All useless shit they have been trained to consider essential!

    :lol3

I’ve never looked so forward to moving in my life. Simple, minimal maintenance, easy access, perfect garage (for me), and DEBT FREE !
