    Dear,

Since I am doing a dr 650 suspension upgrade I have a question which I can't find anywhere.

I upgraded my 1990 bush pig with a yz450f WP upside down fork assembly.

I would also like to change the rear shock. I bought a very good second hand WP suspension rear shock. Unfortunately, the shock is 43cm. The old one is 38cm. The WP shock is also a bit wider, so it hits the braces that hold the linkages. It also hits the airbox. So i really can't make it fit without removing some material, which i do not want to do.

My question is. Which rear shocks fits a dr 1990 well? Want to make it a well capable machine off road. So must be a good shock.

I'm also 1,95 long. So not that light. Dr 650 does not like that. Feels like a pogo stock. :p

Rebuilding the old shock is to expensive unfortunately.

I searched for this but only got newer model solutions.

Since those shocks are longer, that does not work for me.

I was thinking about a WP suspension shock form a KTM LC4

    My shock specs:

    Length eye to eye: 38cm
    Outside Width top stud: 30cm
Inside Width lower U bracket: 30cm

    Cheers

That is some funny brake line routing.

That is a long unconstrained span. When the fork compresses there is a good chance that the line is going into the front wheel. Also the fact that it is pointed down then back up is unusual.

    I know.

Some braces have not been fitted jet for the brake line. it is also not routed the correct way but had to look if everything fit on the poto.

I agree that looks odd but no, that is how the brake line is orginially routed
