Yet another 950 SM fuel pump modified/repaired.....

    Thanks Dr_Bean!

Friend called me and told me that he is having problem with 950 SM... "It won't start".
I've checked it, poured some fuel trough carburetor intake hose... it works.
Opened Fuel pump cap and contacts totally burned - of course :))

Contacted Dr_Bean via PM message and solved "transaction" on same day.
    It was Sunday !!

On Monday he shipped it from Netherlands and I received it in Croatia same week on Friday (4 days)!
    Excellent!
Took me 15-20min to install it and it works excellent!

Since bike is my friends bike I asked him to send me update after while when he try it but for sure he won't have any problem!

Just bought a 2006 950 SE with 75,000 Km and been running through and checking everything. The pump looks like it might be the original ? Points very worn but still working. Just ordered a Dr Bean kit...

Just sent a message to Dr Bean - the instructions are in the first post in this thread. I contacted him a couple of days ago and my kit is now on its way.

to make life more clear for some people: I do NOT sell this kit for use on Honda, as it is not guaranteed to work correct on Honda.

Was having problems with stock fuel pump with my 950smr. Pump died and I opened it up just to see contact points all wear out.
Contacted Dr_bean and got my kit, installed it and bike is working better than ever! Thanks.

After 4 years and 40k Kms (80K now) I have forgotten about installing this item. Never had a problem and expext the rest of my 2003 950 adv s to rot away before the pump does. When the pump does fail, it wont be the Bean kit but some other moving part.

Dr Bean, thanks for idiotproofing the kit!
Thanks for selling it dirt cheap, which opened up my eyes on how much profit margin there is, and thanks for extending the life of the last kickass carburated bike engine for us all!

Just fitted the Dr Bean fuel pump kit and I am super happy with it, the bike seems to have more Get up and Go now and much more responsive. Kit is so easy to fit and the instructions are perfect. My points were dirty and pretty worn and I felt it was a good time to change it for the Dr Bean kit.

    Great product and service.

I bought one about 7 years ago and finally put it on two weeks ago. Easy to install with good instructions. So far so good.

I don't sell the Kit for Honda
The Kit does work on a Honda pump but the Honda pump does not get a normal continuous battery power which is needed for my kit. So I cannot guarantee proper function of the pump in a Honda-system
