I have yet to put the sticker on my bike. I think about a lot of things before I set off for a ride. I believe that the culmination of our experiences on and off the road is what moulds us into the riders we inevitably become. This story resonates deeply with me. Its been a long time since I have been back to this forum, since Mr. Morrison's passing and the connection that drew me to the site often scares me when I delve into the "ridiculously heinous and awesome" while at the same time -in contrast- facing the stark reality of tragic loss as the cost of chasing a dream that can (for no rhyme or reason) ultimately kill you. ADV Rider is a testament to life unfolded on two wheels. The stories contained herein act as lessons, show us the true meaning of saluting fellow riders on the road and to bind us as a community of riders who; despite our differences are always willing to lend a hand to aide a fallen rider. Doc...I was inspired by the words of your wife at your funeral and on this thread and brought to tears by the deep and sincere sorrow shared by your family and peers. Your greatness resonates loudly within the strength that has been bravely displayed by your loved ones. I remember you. Rest in peace.
It's been three years today. Miss you man. I was lucky enough to spend the weekend with several of his friends and he was well remembered. smoked his last Cohiba too.....
