I'm definitely still in, didn't see a notification for your post though.

By the way, thank you Procycle for helping me clean up my backside!

Agreed- lots of beautiful scenery out there. Have done the Moab area a couple of times and the San Juans many times- I'm more partial to the mountains:thumb

Around here, you have to be partial to mountains. Nothing else here except rivers, trees, & lakes ...

Thank you to everyone that has replied with a confirmation. I've got a spreadsheet that I am keeping a tab on the confirmed so I'll quietly keep pestering those that have not. :thumb

if you were not on that list that I posted the tags...

    https://advrider.com/f/threads/dr650-rally-lasal-utah-sept-5-8.1359221/page-28#post-38205019

....it's because you were already on my confirmed box. (and on teh spreadsheet I can filter in alphabetical order but I didn't to annoy my good friend Craig. :lol3)

Just got the notification. My brother and I will be there! We didn't succeed in finding him a bike but someone's gotta bum around in camp and/or be a support vehicle.

Ooh, I just noticed that Pike's Peak is accessible from the Gunnison. Had a great ride there on my BMW K75 RS back around 1990. Maybe another ride is in order?

You lost me on "the Gunnison". The town? The National Forest? The river? ??:-)

    Fantastic! :clap

We can mob him with persuasion to make a sprocket carrier with double bearings. :beer

That's a farkle that I think would be an excellent preventative feature like engine armor, skid plate, CS retainer, and a better seat. :ricky

Man, I just saw another DR on CL that I could pick up... and only $900!

    :yikes

Yep, I could pick it up and carry it onto the jet, it is a DR80. :scratch

But it would be my sense of humor to bring something like that to the rally, with saddlebags of course. :ricky

I went on a training ride this afternoon and wore myself out on the tight twisting trails up and down through the trees.
Only 2 hours long but it was getting late and it was an hour and a half drive home then unloading the bike from the trailer and putting everything away.
I decided to quit rather than make one more run through the trees when I was tired out and risk an injury. :nod

I'm a firm believer in the counsel to "Never take one last run" because that is often the time you get hurt, you are tired, weaker, not mentally as sharp...
It is true in any physical activity I think, I first read it when learning how to snow ski.

When I unloaded the bike off the trailer I looked at the trip odometer to see how far I had ridden... :yikes

    10 miles. :fpalm
