Glad you made it home safe, Bob. It's very satisfying to read all the positive experiences relating to the rally, I'm lucky to have shared that with all of you. Thanks to all who participated, traveling from near and far to meet a bunch of strangers on the internet! :beer

A bit warm? HAH! 80's with teens for humidity? It was heaven to me- come to SC where we have high 90's (at times over 100) with high 90's relative humdity too:hair

I'd still like it to be a little cooler at the next rally:D

For those that don't know your sweat goes nowhere when humidity is that high- swamp ass is a real danger. DAMHIK

I walked into a sauna once...
    Couldn't breathe
Couldn't believe people go in there on purpose.
I can't imagine the misery of living where it gets really hot and humid.
I wouldn't run away if I was there, I wouldn't even be able to walk probably, I would have to crawl to the mountains and and crawl up to a livable temperature/humidity zone. :devildog

We went camping this past weekend and it was very nice. :jkam
Light rain a couple times, high 50's temps. :thumb
I had to take my flannel shirt off because I got too warm to be comfortable when walking around. :knary

Flat tires Kum & Go ... Most of them, one would just as soon forget ..
We were just getting ready to put air in the tire, when Bob (DR790) pulled up and offered his help . Bob clearly seeing we had the situation under control, was willing to set in the hot sun (in full leathers )and share a story with us , as we took turns pumping up the tire...I"ll remember this flat ... and Bobs story..

Just checking in to report I made it home yesterday afternoon after 17 days away. Rode the DR on 12 of those days from three different Moab area basecamps. Still need to unpack and do laundry but wanted to quickly thank @cyberdos for herding us cool cats to an awesome gathering and @DingWeed and team for hosting us meatheads. Pics and ride reports to follow, including my toughest ride ever and taking care of some unfinished business in Eagle Canyon.

Hey Joe, I'm glad you checked in! :thumb
I wondered what happened to you.
Thanks for leading me on great rides, I sure wish I had not rushed off to catch up with you (I thought :fpalm) on Saturday.
I'm sure the hard core riders I accidentally caught up with wished I had found you too. :muutt
(You guys were great to ride with, I'm just sorry I wasn't up to your ability to cope with the heat)

So many great rides, so many great riders, so many more of both I wished I had time for. :beer

Likewise, I enjoyed your company on the rides we did together James. Saturday ride confusion was partially my fault for being the last one ready to ride.
