Anyone riding down from Oregon . . . somewhere in the PNW?
Will be passing through ProCycle in Springfield, truck camper & 4 bike trailer from Vancouver BC
Thanks for the reply @Fishnbiker . I'm waffling whether to tow the bike or ride down. Riding in seems more ADV, and it allows for a return I've been wanting to do, up the Utah Skyline route and by way of Grey's River. (Have maps).
Are you driving solo or have a full boat?
So far the plan is for my son & me to invite 1 guest each. 4 sharing a truck camper & some tenting. No firm commitments yet.
Lockhart Basin Road from Highway 211 to Moab through Hurrah Pass is one ride I want to make. As bonus loop preemption, I do not want to ride the 6 mile spur down Lockhart Canyon to the river.
I'd rather save time & energy for the Hurrah Pass section;
If time allows after reaching Moab I'd prefer a long, bridge club bonus loop of up through Onion Creek and the down the east side of the LaSals to 3 Step, or down 191 to Kane Creek, down Kane Creek to Moab, then down 191 to 46 and 3 Step. If time is short it's just straight home to 3 step down 191 from Moab.
Up the east side of the LaSals from 3 Step, down Onion Creek , then ?????? is another day ride possibility.
I'm down but keep in mind that from the 3 step that would be a 160 mile loop.
We did that last year. it's a fantastic loop. It should definitely be high on the list for those who have never ridden the area. Most of it is very easy.
but, if you throw this into it then
Ya talked me into it! That looks like a fun ride.. ah, without the luggage part. Do you happen to have gps tracks?
I'll be there. I'll be driving through Salt Lake in the Suburban. If anyone wants picked up at the air port to or from, lemme no.
Will there be a gluten-free, low-sodium, vegan option? Kosher would be nice too.
Ummmm, I think the Triumph rally is somewhere closer to 5 star hotels........ Perhaps you would be more comfortable with a group better aligning with your personal disposition.
Holy shit, somebody was going to break that ice, & you did it with a cannonball!
I'll just be there & thankful for those who made it possible, let me know what I can bring to help
I’m accustomed to Ducati rallies.
Then don't forget to bring the espresso machine.
I'm GPS deficient but Cyberdos may have them. He has the Onion Creek/east LaSal side
but don't think they did Lockhart Basin on that trip.
To go along with "easy bonus loop" I dub you "voice of experience and reason." Arm chair ambition always gets gets refined when the mile counting starts, or the toll of the previous day ride registers.
Obviously it can't be catered to everyone, but without knowing what is being served it's hard to pay for food that some of us may not be able to eat. Not everyone is perfect without food allergies like yourself.
I apologize! I was being a sarcastic smart-ass. I will be happy just to be there. I might die with out my daily gluten and salt plus a pig and a cow, even a chicken now and then. Really, I’m very sorry I said that, I figured people had figured me out by now.
I understand that some people have special needs and that the things I made light of can be serious matters. You would have had to be around us to see our culinary behavior on past trips to perhaps see the intended humor in that one.
As punishment, no beer for you!
whooooooaaaaaaaaaa there!!!!! Let's not let this get out of hand!!!!!
