Late to the party here, but I am going to catch up/read more. Sounds like an interesting tool/app. :-)

Better, but still much slower than previous versions.

I have 2 indentical stand-alone GPS devices. The device with DMD version 6.38 is much slower than the device with version 6.08.

Oh yes, sorry I really should know better, it's Marshmallow 6.0.1 and I've just read it's 7 and up.
Is there any way of making this work with older versions of Android as it would seem to me the target user may well be looking at strapping a second hand/old phone to their bikes.

I'm going to kick this party off with:

back button acts like it tries to exit, but since it's set as the launcher will redraw the home

the whole home page keeps disappearing, shortly after the bottom menu hides itself, so I am left with the status bar and a gray screen

I just sent a crash report. It keeps crashing when selecting the control station. I got in there a couple of times but now it just crashes repeatedly.

Applications view works sometimes, I set it to a grid, and it seems to forget that I set to a grid.

Device is Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, Android 9, One UI version 1.1

I know you will get these bugs worked out, so just thought I would let you know what I see right now (you might already know about some of these bugs).

Aside from these things, I LOVE THE NEW LOOK. It is awesome, and responsive! Thank you for your hard work!

The Home Page disappears?? You mean the Dashboard view? Have you set it up first? Like are there actual widgets there?
PS. Almost all views have a left Menu (slide from the left screen corner) that will show you option for the current view.

I dont want it to remember the GRID, if you are using a Controller (which you should be if you have one) the List view is a LOT better for the Application view, because you use the Controller Up and Down to select an app. Also notice that the first apps are always the ones you have already added to the Widget App Shortcuts (if you have setup one already).

It had some default widgets that I left alone for now. speed/trip/app shortcuts/compass/time and date. I set the bottom bar to auto hide, and about a minute after it would auto hide, the whole dashboard view went gray leaving nothing more than the status bar at the top. I have now edited the widgets for things I want to see on dashboard view (I love that I can add Android widgets in there now!) and I am not seeing the same behavior. It is staying on screen as expected. Not sure what happened there.

This makes sense. Also, moving the apps already added to the app shortcuts to the top of the apps list is a great idea.

    Thank you.

As another data point, I have the same hardware (with the same OS version) and have not experienced either of these issues.

    - I did have an issue where I tried to change the brightness from the control station, it asked for permission and I couldn't get off the permission screen, hitting back or home results in that same screen. Ended up rebooting.

I'm really liking the overall feel of the interface, here are my first impressions/nits/wish list

    - Add reset trip values to the home screen left menu if the trip widget is shown, took me a while to find it on the speedometer page
    - It would be nice if you could change the density of app shortcuts (i.e. larger than a 3x2 grid in the same space), with a larger screen it would be nice to add more. I tried adding a second app shortcut section but it resulted in a second instance of the same grid, i.e. changing one changed the other too.
    - The ability to add system widgets is awsome, however the widgets I'm using are 1x1, it would be cool if they could be arranged in a grid similar to the app shortcuts, or at least 2 side by side.

Also, this is probably me, but is it possible to select the app shortcuts with the controller? Tn the little bit of messing around I did with it I couldn't figure it out.

I have been able to reproduce this.

Go to the dashboard view. Press back a few times. Let it sit there for a minute. This is on a fresh reboot.
