I'll back up the fact they'll make things right, they have absolutely terrific service usually.

    Hi guys
Just a heads up i almost got a ticket last year on the east side trail only a small part is legal and the signs are all missing , i thought i was legal to be there also and was quickly REMINDED by the police, luckily they gave a group of atv's the ticket and let me go with a warning. Either way still worth a chance once in a while.

The entire section from Hwy 20 to Port Colborne is legal.
We have been trying to educate the police on this for years but they keep getting it wrong.
Its amazing, we have been to council meetings meetings with the chief of police and still they are ticketing dirt bikes!
    It is a shame.
The Region is the Government body that has set up the trail.
The EST is leased to the Region, it is the section 100 meters up from the waters edge that is legal.
The trail closest to the road is for motorized vehicles except for ATV"s
The furthest trail is for non-motorized
The Region leases back the sections of trail that fall on 3 different communities.
    Thorold
    Welland
    Port Colborne

These municipalities are supposed to treat their own section of the trail as a city park and manage it.
This has been a dismal failure as the way it is set up no one has a clue where the trail starts and ends including the cops

HUH well that's interesting. I tried to tell the police that but they said only a small area near Allanburg was legal. Anyway I wish there was a document I could produce to get the cops off my back on those trails. Dual sport plus is there anyway we could bring this topic up at the ride this year to educate the masses? Also thanks to the timberline riders and others for fighting for at least one legal trail to rip around on.

Working in it as we speak although even in the unlikely event my last minute lazy ass gets it done sooner I don't think I'll post it online until Les and Cath's spring open house on the 5th.

They've saved my sorry ass enough times that I owe them one.

    Peace out.

The best stories are, really enjoyed you last RR, though I think you may want to consider a smaller gauge fish hook next time, it'll make the stitches neat and tight. :lol3
