Bitter sweet comes to mind though bitter isn't the right word. A difficult transition to get back to the "sweet" that you remember and I wish you the best and speediest of transitions.

Sad news, Dual Sport Plus is a rare shop that will leave a gaping hole in SW Ontario. They always stood behind their service and products and were fantastic to deal with.

Best wishes for your new adventures!

Selfishly sad to hear that you are closing. Thanks for sourcing numerous bits and pieces for me and putting out the odd fire. Safe and wondrous travels to the two of you wherever the trail leads.

Hey, you have to do what you have to do. We'll miss you.

I should add, I just spent way too much time perusing your clearance section...hopefully I've got your last Giant Loop Buckin' roll...it said you had 1 left - I hope I acted quickly enough at that steal of a price!

Awww, thats sad news to me. :(
I just checked in and read. I can't believe DSP is closing.

Last I remember, weren't Twisted Throttle taking over?
Regardless, there will be a big hole to fill that no other at the moment even comes close to the service DSP showed.

Well, I enjoyed buying all my parts/gear from you guys. I'll miss it.

Glad you guys found direction to your path. Enjoy retirement to the fullest.
Happy trails and safe travels Les/Cath. :freaky

    Cheers,
    Dave from Montreal. ;)

Perhaps avc won't be such a fitful nightmare to deal with any more.

I think TT just pays the bills now. Last I was in there the kids were still working the place. But that was just when they took over so who knows now.

Sad to see you go. I don't know the whole story on the failed sale attempt, but being the owner of a small retail business I understand your pain. I'm sure you started DSP due to your passion for the sport, but understand how the passion gets squeezed out as the reality that it is a business sets in.

Best of luck in your future endeavors!

wow, people say I'm judgemental but you put me to shame. They're only giving the side of the story as they know it so ease up a bit

Sad to see you guys go. Thank you Catherine for getting me my GL Coyote bag in time for the Roaming Rally. You have no idea how much of a burden you lifted off my shoulders when you told me it's in, literally.
Back packing all my gear would have sucked very much bad. :freaky

Not sure if you have met either Cath or Les, but they are two individuals that are passionate about the sport and truly hard working, honest folk. They were just letting the community know how it all went down as many folks here were all aware of their desire to hit the road.

I'm sure the other side has their version as well and its up to them on whether they want to share their story with us.

    Let it rest.

Les and Cath may be delightfully crass and uncouth, but they're never tacky.

I've never dealt with DSP, or met the people there. I have however heard the "other side" of the story. And it was the "other side" of the coin, literally, as the saying goes. The truth is probably somewhere in between. All that is history now.

Best wishes to everyone in their future endeavors.
