I read a review of the newly released Dunlop Elite 4 tires (Rider, August 2018) and they are supposedly good for 15,000 to 18,000 miles with few or no compromises to handling or wet or dry grip. The tires come in 15 to 21 inch sizes and in bias and radial designs, meaning they'll fit just about anything. Anyone have an actual-use ride review for these tires? I'd like to consider putting them on my FJR and riding coast to coast if I can fit that into my busy retirement schedule. If the tires really will last 15,000 to 18,000 miles, they might be the answer to the question why tire manufacturers don't come up with a long-lasting alternative to running car tires on motorcycles.
