Dolores asked me to post this for her. She was one of the two Jeep women we met in Titus canyon.... WAY over at the right of this picture.

From: Dolores Wylie (one of the Jeep "wimmen")
To: The guys we took pictures of in Titus Canyon

It was really fun sharing part of the day with you guys.
I wrote a story that included my experience in the canyon.
It's part of a book I'm writing about women, spirituality, and sex.
One day it might get published and I'd like to use the pictures to back up the story.
I'd need a signed release from the guy with the jelly beans, (name?) John (mohawk), Nick (model), Jeff (robocop), Kerry (salesman).

If I have a release from anyone else, I can include them in the pic. Other than that, I'll need to crop you out. Sorry.

    Please contact me directly at:
    dwylie@badgerhills.com
    www.facebook.com/dede.zwylie
    so we can proceed.
(Please let me know If you'd like to read the rough draft and have your real names used!)
    Thanks very much in advance.
    Best wishes.

Here's a short vid of the Chicken Strip and Saline Valley warm springs for my pilot friends. Hope they don't mind me parking briefly on the airstrip, too windy to fly that day anyway.

Did you have paddles on the bikes? It doesn't look like it but they got around pretty good without if that is the case and what size KTM are you riding?

No paddles, just knobbies. They worked fine once you got moving.

We had all kinds of KTMs that day, 950SE, 950A, 690, 640, 540, 525, 450 & 400. The Orange fleet you might say...:evil Mrthumbs was on the 400.

Quite a bit different than the last time I was there:

After we got out on the other side, we were thinking we shouldn't keep going to Balarat as we were going to run slim on daylight as we were just backtracking since we didn't want to do that much slab.

Juan got a little frisky and tried to head up one of the burro trails.

Mining equipment on the way home:

And then of course the inevitable...

Ami spotted me a new tube that I had to put in...

So the story about this is really funny. The guys I was riding with really saved my butt... with my own spare... So I didn't even realize that I lost my fender bag the day before on Saline Valley. Turns out they found my fender bad and happened to pull the tube and carry it. So in a round about way, I used my own spare. Thankfully they were good guys and returned the fender bag and I didn't have to replace anything. :thumb

    All part of the experience.

I'm still working on the videos...

Dude, I wanna go so bad, but we are knee deep in getting moved into the new house. Next weekend I'll be making my knees and back suffer putting in flooring. Shoot, just tonight I had to move around 1500 lbs of the stuff into the house form the trailer! :eek1
