Took the wife and kidz to Furnace Creek after you FF's cleared out. Got 450 miles in on the 690 in 2 days of solo riding...the usual spots....Jeni hauled the SAG wagon.

Time for a dip. I brought all my camping gear in event of a breakdown,
and tried like hell to run out of gas at this point and spend the night
here but one of you inmates left 1.5 gallons of gas with a young homeless guy in a van...so I took it and pressed on back to Furnace Creek CG.

Nice job on the video, the ambient music fit Death Valley perfect. Looked like a great trip. Thanks for sharing.

Hey RAZR, Cool video. Now I know who you are. I remember you a few years back at Rowher Flats. It was the day I wadded up my radiator on the 300. Nice to put a face to the user names. What kind of editing program are you using? Rob looks a lot more fit and in shape than the last time I rode with him a few years back.

I'm really excited to do Dumont Dunes and DV in a few weeks. It will be a whole new way to enjoy DV (2 wheels instead of 4). Looking at my map, you could ride there for a week and not see everything.

Last day of riding for me out to Barker.

Hark! What is that in the distance?

We do not know what beckons in the distance, but we shall travel via our steadfast Orange machines and go thatumway!

I claim this spot for all dorks who want to stand on top on monuments!

So we rode out West Side Rd to Warm Springs and stopped at this cool mine.

The gate seems prudent in this case...

Met a couple cool guys riding back to camp and this geologist with a pretty pimp setup. Dude said he could go 5 1/2 months fully off grid with minimal effort. He had enough crap that I'd think longer. He was really cool and offered the guys a shot of genuine Tennessee moonshine.

    Back to the fun.

Getting close to the geologist's cabin.

Couldn't have asked for more pretty sky.

    Next up was Mengel.

It really wasn't too bad this year/

Well that looks like a fun little hill to go up.

    Don't mind if I do!

    Worth it.

    Sally, yer so cool...

    On to Barker.

    Made it!

OK, enough weird Manson juju... Is this thing on?

    Rocky in some spots.

    It made the 640 sleepy.

How do you start this silly thing?

OK you take it back now.

    Shadows getting long.

And they rode happily off into the sunset.

That is, until the 690 ran out of gas...

Great riding, great company and great times as always. :thumb

Steve got a burr up his butt and played "who wants to race the Dakar", Richard thought I was having a fun little tango with the 450 at times, and Traverse (sp?) just did a great job for being new to the dirt.

Looking forward to next time. :deal

Holy shit! Some of you guys peeled off some mega miles offroad. Really enjoying the pics and videos. Seems like everything from rocks, hills, dunes, pavement and everything in between. You even had time to soak in a pool!!

I can't wait till' i go in a few weeks!

My bad, Not good joking around with the keyboard. I actually have a set of paddles mounted up for my Dumont/DV ride in a few weeks.

All joking aside, no BS, It's nice seeing guys have a such great time. I noticed that in all the pics everyone is smiling! I can't ride as much anymore. So the next best thing is watching others have fun through ride reports, pics and video.
