Where to begin...a trip of extremes. :deal

SF to Bakersfield Thursday after work. Wet and cold. Stayed a block from my countrymen, but by the time I got there MaddBrit and AngryJock were prolly already spooning. :sweeti :evil

Made it over Walker Pass the next morning in a blizzard...fresh TKC tracks in the snow and some strange looks from some cagers at the summit. Ran into Bob and his fluorescent new jacket :D in Stovepipe Wells.

Saturday was perfect weather. Headed through Echo Canyon with JoefromSF. Pretty brutal - a lot of loose, deep gravel riding through a wash most of the way. Big thank you to Misery Goat and AZCacti for the hep up the steps. No pics...the cold fried my camera batteries :ruskie so no ride report from me!

Towne Pass the worst part of the trip home. Walker was totally clear, so I took my chances with Greenhorn which was 99% clear too. Some showers on 99 and I-5.

Good times. We missed ya Nomiles and Kbasa. :freaky

Right on. AngryJock, GiddyFunk, Wotevah and yours truly got up at 0-dark-thirty on Saturday morning to see the sunrise at the Dunes, and were rewarded with some spectacular views (Garry the Jock has some great photies).

Great to see you and Bonny at the Daze, Duke!

    :feelgood

Yeah, start packing now dogjammick, we leave in 10 hours! :lol3

    :wave Notso Angry Scot!!

I had such a great time! The weather was pretty perfect, in my opinion. It was warmer than home and it wasn't snowing on me!!!

I think my favorite part of the whole week was hanging around the campfires every evening listening to all the stories, I was mightily entertained :D .

It was great seeing all my old friends and making so many new ones!!!! It will be way too long before I see you all again :cry .

My friend Chris and I had a great time riding over mengle on saturday, nice wet sand made for great traction and the scenery was beatiful,Got plenty hot and sweaty riding over big rocks, felt like 70 degrees out there to me. We rode part of echo canyon on friday and ended up helping pete out who broke his leg on a rocky section.Anybody know how hes doing? I thought the weather was perfect in the valley but sounds like it was gnarly outside of it. The clouds were amazing sunday morning driving out. Bernie once again outdid himself feeding and entertaining the troops, great campfire, food, wine, whiskey and lively people to talk with. Thanks again for taking care of us Bernie!

The Stonewall Pico chair demonstration. Not sure if he sold anyone on it or not-- but it sure was entertaining watching him try and fold it up.

I drove out, and on the way home I passed the biggest crash I have ever seen on the 15 freeway just west of where it crosses the Mojave River.
It was spread over the better part of a mile, and 2 semis and at least 20 cars were involved.
Unbelievable. I'm sure it'll be in the paper tomorrow.
Hope everyone made it home safe. Fun times. As usual. :thumb

    Thanks
    CA Stu

PS Thanks for the treats this morning, those Cuties hit the spot, and Bonnie's Magical Delights were beyond awesome. :yum
