I don't want this to turn into a soap opera, but let me just leave this here:

In 2014, when I bought my first GS I had no idea that I'm making one of my best decisions that ultimately had little to do with the bike itself.. Pretty much all the people I now consider friends in AZ are people I met on bikes, people who had the patience to wait for my slow ass when I started and others who followed me into some questionable situations when I got better. If it wasn't for bikes, I would have left years ago with no idea of what I was missing - I'm pretty sure I've seen more of AZ than most people who have spent their whole life here and it really has become my (slightly hotter) second home. But.. home is home, I've got a new job waiting there so it's time to pack up and shake my life up once again (I highly recommend it, it's a great way to lose dead weight).

Ride on fellas and thanks for everything! If you're ever in CZ, ping me, I'll show you around..

@nwemerys I have a spare injector If you want to test it before buying a new one. I ordered a new one when mine was clogged and cleaned the old one. It has been tested and known to work on another 690 with injector issues. I'm in Scottsdale.

@SteveAZ How have you been? I think I was on the Tiger when I last saw you. Went from XR650L to 950 ADV to 950 SE-R and a WR250R, another XR650L and now a 690 Enduro.

Are you still working in the airpark?

I went freelance more than seven years ago. I've got a shop in Tempe and one of my contracts has me up in snotsdale by 101 and Pima two or three days a week.

Haven't done much moto - been hard into the electric fat-bike thing for three years now (~7500mi).

Sounds like you are making the rounds with all the motos... I had a tiger but after the leg thing it stopped being as much fun and the tiger was way too tall to begin with for my short legs... not to mention getting old (knocking on 60 now)... picked up a 4x4 eight or ten years ago and get plenty of desert riding with the bike but definitely a entirely different world... fun to go places you can't do on the motos though and much easier to haul the bike places...

@BELSTAFF - it's a roll-your-own and I encourage the discussion... there's a thread on this board but PM me with questions and I'll be happy to dialog... the electric bikes are really popular and bring incredible mobility and health benefits (and keep the fun meter on high!) with those of us getting older/disabled (I lost a leg)....

Pretty old news... back in 2007... Been through a few prosthetics and working on a new one presently... each time I'm getting more dynamic legs and lower weight and I'm very encouraged with the progress on this one... New foot:
