Sodala - to let u wait not tooooooo long - let's go to Romania stuff. ENDUROMANIA - my first one -- more info here http://www.enduromania.net/ Saturday - day of resting -- Sunday on the bike again. Bad Tölz - Irschenberg - Salzburg - Graz - Vienna - Hungary - most on highway. Between Györ and Budapest the night starts to catch me - so off the highway and found a Hotel at Tata. Next day passing Budapest - on to Szeged - Crossing border - arrive at Caransebes late afternoon. Borlova is not on my Garmin - Start looking around and see 2 Endurobikers - follow them and catch them next at village. "are u going to Borlova?" i ask them - "yes, u also want to go there, with this bike?" -- jep, sure -- "ok, follow us" they leave the road, cross a river and go up a hill. I follow - then a deep mudhole - i follow them - and drop the KTM into the mud. They help me out and tell me that the next section is more hard i should take the paved road. -- "ok, there is a paved road?" -- - 30 min later i arrive at my friends in Borlova - my Zega is flooded. No problem, we have a house and beds. I don't need my tent. uff. Enough writing - let's see the pics. first town in Romania Our base camp in Borlova Time to ride park ferme Security stuff easy off-road quite a huge mix of bikes - we've been 10 in the team - 3 woman, 7 man - 1 Africa Twin, 1 KTM 950, 1 BMW HP 2, Rest was TT 660, Domiator, DRZ 400. difficult to find the way after a difficult part - easy to ride -- mostly u don't think of photos in difficult parts. beautyful landscape ah - action passed some mud Team Picknicker - preparing for a picknick todays collection typical houses Enduromania GPS point found here. view down - very steep road more mud - i stocked in a hole here. next km have been hard to ride with the big bikes the result of the next km found a nice lake to get the next point view from checkpoint view 2 u often pass little villages - the children are great - always forced us to ride wheelies. 20 km to get the next point - at the beginning easy u can go fast even with big bikes here getting more wet later locals at work - collecting trees to get a warm house in winter with team Picknicker they did it in much less time road much more difficuld to ride give me a small bike difficult to show u how deep this (sometimes) is sometimes u need to wait a while (rope crashed 3 times until they get the trees of the road) Muntele Mic - round 1700 m high - very windy this day main mountain area train museum at Resita Friday night we celebrate our missing the podium. ... and unfitting tyres - the TKC80 is not apt for this terrain. Use knoblier tyres, at least FIM stuff. I've used those on several occasions (Pirelli Scorpion Pro e.g.) and had lots of fun where the TKC80 had left me sliding uncontrollably before. Nice pics - and yes, it's hard to take photos on the hard parts - but with 10 people at least someone should always have a camera ready.
yep u are right. most work was done by the others with helmet-cameras. so we had a lot of good movies all night.
