Think the farthest I've ever made it past this section is about a mile or so before turning around. How much further to the cabin from here?

^This hill is where I consider the ride becoming a bit more challenging with 5 more miles to go, (gets better).

These rides when the temps are in the mid to upper 50s are sweet.
    Scenery overload.

Took a break in the shade and spoke to the wife of a hunter from Washington state, been there a few days trying to harvest some Coue's WT.

Blasted back up the grade or a couple more shots.

At this point I still had over 40 miles to get back to the truck. Drove out enjoying everything again.

two 4 mile stretches o graded dirt, the rest two track or sand!

    Back to the ice box.

My worry was this spot was the beginning of the road becoming more and more difficult. Since I was riding alone, didn't want to chance getting in over my head.

I will be back next month, are you still in the region?

I am back on the East coast working for Uncle Sugar as a DA civilian. Not sure when the next time I'll be out there riding. Meanwhile, I'll live vicariously through your posts on here.

Awesome reports! Having done some of these rides in my younger days dual sporting, you bring back many great memories. Imagine the stories these areas could tell if they could speak.
    Thanks!

MtnDawg, you inspired me to ride up towards Jackson Cabin today . Didn't make it all the way due to a late start but went far enough to know the new Africa Twin Adventure Sports will handle the tough stuff. IMG_20200307_141805680.jpg IMG_20200307_150855550.jpg
