I was looking for an easy way to carry just the basics for shorter day trips..

    Extra 21" Tube
    Duct Tape
    Safety Wire
    Zip Ties
    33oz of extra Fuel....I ride a SE...:D
    etc
    etc

I usually ride with a tail bag...but I wanted something smaller...

Here is what I went with

    Here is a shot with a 33oz MSR...perfect fit...

The tubes are for Tractors....:huh :huh ...they hold operator manuals...and they are $4.99 each....:evil ....they have a rubber O ring and seem very sturdy...

    got them here... http://www.agrisupply.com/Default.asp?bhcd2=1216168559

How many beer cans will thay hold?:lol3

what do you think about the mounting plates? will they hold up after 100 miles of pounding? I guess if you keep them light (tubes) you should be OK. I like the idea! I may mount 2 on the inside of extra gas tank supports?

Beer just takes up too much room on the bike...that is why I just carry a few ounces of 151...:D ....

As to the long term on these things....??? dunno...maybe they will snap on the first ride...then I am out my $4.99....:D ....but they seem as study as anything else...and where they are mounted I don't expect them to take too many hits....

I saw these in the other thread and ordered two yesterday. Has anyone found other mounting locations on a 950A yet? My rack is occupied by my topcase...

Seems "inside" the rear bag rack (if you have one) would be perfect. There is plenty of room on the inside, just make sure you don't place it in the way of the chain when the swing-arm is all the way up.

Great idea... reminds me of the tool case on the 640 AdvR (only bigger).

Now to figure out a nice spot to attach one on the inside of the hard luggage bars.
