Had an pretty good lunch at the Mill Bay Marina in the Bridgemans Bistro. The view and refreshments were outstanding. http://bridgemansbistro.com/

Thanks to Fishnbiker's suggestion I ended up going to the Ideal Cafe in Campbell River today for breakfast. Meal was huge and the prices descent.

Started off the Big Traily Alternate at the Mile One Eating House in Pemberton. Salads looked good and healthy, unfortunately no fries available.

We went to the Mineshaft Pub last week in Bralorne and found out it is now called Sally's Pub. Food was great. Facebook Link

There are two other excellent eating establishments in Pemberton: The Wood is directly across the street from Mile One. They have excellent food, although the service was very slow last time we were there.

The Pont is just up the street. It's owned and operated by two great chefs who take their food seriously -- they even raise their own beef. We had our best meal of the summer there this year.

    Regards

One of the best burgers on the Big Traily Alternate had to be the one experienced at the Gold Bridge Hotel. Bobbi the owner had a Bacon Mushroom Cheese burger for the evening special, which included oven fries, salad, soup and a Black Forest cake (freshly made) for $16.75. Totaly unbelievable!

The tanks are still working, Sally is ordering some octane booster for those who prefer higher grade than regular. Gold Bridge is going to have a new set up soon.

We were looking forward to eating at the Pooley St. Cafe in the Wells Hotel after riding from Likely to Barkerville on the BC Big Adventure Traily Alternate, unfortunately it was closed. We ended up trying Big H's Halibut & Chips, surprisingly it was pretty good. The chips were the frozen battered style rather than homemade but the halibut was excellent.

Great suggestion Argus16, went there today for lunch and had a great meal. I ended up buying a loaf of bread as well, really enjoyed it as also. Will definitely go there again, plus add it to my favourites list. Urban Spoon.

This had to be the highlight place to eat when riding the BC Big Adventure Traily Alternate in September. The food was excellent with the cooks using as many local ingredients as possible. A great place to hang out and sometimes features live entertainment at night. Urban Spoon.

Is that the place on a side street east parallel to the highway? If so, I did stop there too after coming across the old bridge....nice and earthy as I recall. sort of like something of the gulf islands or New Denver area.

Home Restaurant was reported earlier #191 but has to be mentioned again as having one of the best Clubhouse sandwich so far in BC. Although the picture does not do it justice the one served up in Merritt after doing the BC Big Adventure Traily Alternate was excellent.

Good burger and Caesar salad all made from fresh ingredients. Two locations one in Parksville the other in Qualicum Beach. Definitely will be going back. http://www.leftys.tv/

Went to the White Spot in Duncan today. To be avoided at all costs. Instead try the street meat at Canadian Tire.
