Theo's has been in Penticton a very long time, I will defintely go back this summer. Burger 55 located near the the Starbucks in downtown Penticton also looks interesting.

i'll get to Burger 55 this spring and give you a report. That building used to be part of Larsen's Tire when they were on on Front Street as you can probably tell by the chain hoist. And speaking of Front Street, you should visit the Dream Cafe when you are in town. The food is great but that is not the real attraction. They get some pretty big name entertainment in a real intimate setting. I saw Stephen Fearing and the Wailin' Jennys there among others and it was truly unbelievable. Highly recommended.

Relatively new place on Fraser, The Fray.
Great, casual atmosphere. Kind of retro, funky, nice neighborhood feel:

You guys are killing me with these pictures of food.. And i just ate lunch.

Salmon house on the hill in West Van is my favorite restaurant. If you like seafood you have to check it out. Go after dark, amazing views.

Yes to the Salmon House.:clap My former employer used to manage the place, if it is anything now like it used to be back then....darn that was good! But however cheap it was for me to go eat there back then....that's a pricey place to eat.

Darn them Victoria pics.....I can't get there for a couple months but am sending some friends to investigate.

Sabri....Wah Lai Hun...that's more in my budget these days, in Victoria.:D

This place is incredible and probably the number one destination point for a motorcycle ride on Vancouver Island. The most authentic English pub in British Columbia for sure. Great food, outside patio and gardens plus a large parking area for motorcycles. http://www.crowandgate.com/

Whoever didn't mention Hungry Herby's should go there. Even go to Cache Ck just for Hungry Herby's. Honorable mention to Vedder Mtn Grill in Yarrow and El Nopal in Sumas (Wa)

No it's horrible. Do not come to the Kootenays. You will hate it.

    Itza Pizza in Nelson.
Mazatland in Castlegar, authentic Mexican food.
Waddy's in Vernon, cheap breakfast, greasy and good.
The Hut in Nakusp. Real drive in food.
I know of many more but my brain hurts today.

I am not sure if you are joking or not but I would agree that most Nelson food is subpar. Horrible is too strong. Overpriced and meh with no consistency is my feelings (and many others I know). I have not been to Itza but have heard someone else say it was good so will give it a try. The new restaurant that replaced Bottom Chef Canada supposedly blows. The new owner of Funky Monkey has removed a bunch of stuff of the menu and added sushi and is calling it Funky Sushi (that sounds just wrong when talking about seafood).
