Gosh, if EBR were not located in Wisconsin, I would be knocking on the door to help build these bikes. More than likely, and rightfully so, EBR will call back employees.

It is going to be tough finding buyers willing to take the leap of faith that the builder is going to be around in a few years to provide parts support. I wish them luck, but it really is looking grim.

I'd be surprised if there were many employees left willing to go back.

Yeah, especially if they went through both closures. I'm suspecting there are plenty around for low-rate production.

Announcement yesterday on EBR's Facebook page says they will have a booth at the Chicago International Motorcycle show this coming weekend.

Does anyone know how close the 2008 1125R engine is to that of the 1190 RX and SX? Totally different?

Interesting what can be picked out of this photo. (from the web)

Coolant tank. Cooling fan and some panel to deflect heat outboard.

It's the same basic design, but there are many re-engineered and re-sourced parts in the 1190. The heads are significantly different and incorporate an auxiliary intake port to induce strong swirl in the combustion chamber at part throttle. The 1190's are assembled in EBR's factory in East Troy.

I wish all the best! Big hurdles, but it would be great to see him pull this off.

Same here. Reality is that consumers need to be buying the bikes. I'd like an SX and there are 2014 models still around cycletrader. If the warranty is not valid on these models, they could be a steal.

I think that's been the design since the 2015 models. The RX has it too, but it's framed in more by the fairing.

The new MSRPs are better. Now the RX is only like $100 more than a "bold new graphics" GSXR.

I like the reply received from EBR Customer Service. Does anyone here know for a fact what tweeks the RS, RX, and SX received?

"We are very happy to have a chance to bring new EBR motorcycles to the world with the new company! Our first step is to bring out 2016 models which have just a few refinements based on what we could determine were customer irritants on the old EBR bikes. That and new colors are the only differences."

Some ECM issues, stalling - probably gen1 fueling, and a monstrous clutch pull are a few common rider annoyances I heard about. I bet the RX got the SX's lighter pull.

The plastic tail surround is now made in two pieces with a trim piece covering the gap. Apparently they were prone to cracking immediately behind the passenger seat and the two piece construction should fix that issue.

I am glad EBR is back but for fuck sakes build something we want, like an AX. Erik wants to race......well you have to stay in business to race so build what people will buy. Erik has never understood this.
