Moving to El Dorado Hills CA and was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a BMW bike shop that does customization (crash bars, lighting etc) and service (oil changes, tire changes)?

    I would go to A & S BMW in Roseville (a.k.a., A & S PowerSports).

I wouldn't, but then again I've had some less-than-satisfying dealings with them over the past 20 years.

I would recommend Ozzie's BMW in Chico.

I would and I do use A&S PowerSports. And I’ve had satisfying dealings with them through the years. Looking at my 1250 right now.

PM me when you get settled, am close by and can help you more

I've had good experience with A&S Powersports over 23 years and three motorcycle purchases. A lot of people seem to like Ozzie's in Chico, but I've never been there.

Ozzie's for sure, I would bet that their labor rates are less than A&S also.

A & S will have a much larger supply of custom accessories on hand. Not sure if they still do this but they tell you to plan on most of the day for most types of service but they will rent you a car to use while you wait.
If you want to buy a motorcycle or need major repairs definitely Ozzies.
If you want a fancy modern showroom, free coffee and water, separation from the service area, and a bit of aloofness- A & S.
If you prefer a small, old fashioned, family run business where they treat you like a friend- Ozzies.

Tri-Valley Moto in Livermore would give you a used bike to ride while they were working on your BMW/KTM/Triumph. I always told them "Take as long as you want". I think the last loaner I got from them was a Triumph 1050 Tiger when they were working on my 990 Adventure.

Somehow, renting you a car doesn't sound quite as good to me. But I know of no other dealers with loaner bikes while they're working on yours. The ones in my area definitely don't do that.

It's a shame that Big Twin went out. The new dealer is just another big box type of store.
