I'll have to PM you my address, just pop it in the mail :thumb

Not sure I'll have room for louvers, but maybe...

With the heat gun, it gets to forming temp with no fumes or smell... quite nice...

Made this for example... A little piece to hold the charge connector so it isn't bouncing around... Not finished yet... Will have to remake it...

It started like this... Didn't work...

    reheat...

The plastic goes back to it's original shape...
    Now it's ready for reforming...

    Also made this...

It's the bent tab holding the top of the battery. That combined with the rok strap makes the battery solid, and easy to remove/install...
I formed the tab up using the battery as a jig, and used some extra bits to make the tab undersized, so it's always pressing on the battery.

Kydex is good stuff but it will suffer from fatigue cracking if its allowed to flex too much

    Hooks, not holes...

Heat and form... Still needs cleanup...

Works like this... Gotta get some smaller o-rings though... Has enough bend to retain the o-ring, and be easy to get on/off...

So, the project binky post was supposed to be a joke...

Project isn't dead, just sleeping. Moving home here. Temporarily have two homes and two garages, so it's total mayhem.

    Back soonish?

I feel your pain. I always have 50 projects in the works. The miracle is that any ever get done. My latest distraction from projects -

Hey nuggets, I've totally enjoyed reading this build. I like your style and you have sparked interest in practical uses for kydex. Keep up the good work.
