Thanky sir. Mostly I'm having a lot of flash backs and fond memories of many of these places.
All the old pictures of these places showed people standing outside talking or walking by. Today, just vehicles driving by.
In a couple months I'm hoping to expand my riding distance and get more interesting scenery......

Headed back home on Hwy 79 was this display at the recycling center. Funny thing is, I use this recycling center and never noticed their display before.
I always see so much more when I'm on 2 wheels. Anywho.....

    A ride through Warrior Alabama:
Ying not in these pics. She only wants to come out if there's something to climb , hang on, or take a selfie with...:photog
Burn's BBQ & Seafood. Now just a vacant location. Panda asked me why aren't there any bamboo restaurants....well, I've eat it, but I'd not go out and pay for it.
A nice little 1956 Chevy convertible mural right across from the police department. Panda says those cars look like they'd be almost as much fun as a motorcycle.

Another store that bit the dust. I loved the design of this building.
Nothing today to repair. If it breaks, you just get a new one. I remember going to these type shops and getting tubes replaced. The new generation doesn't even know what a tube is
unless it is You in front of it.
This was a nice red brick face and someone recently painted it white. Don't know if it's finally going to open again. Locals still have a local Piggly Wiggly about a mile down the road.
About 3 years or so ago, this was called Tanya's Boutique. Was popular for being able to get things you couldn't find elsewhere are very cheap prices. Still in business, but they've
    moved to another city.

A visit to PC......Pratt City, Alabama. It's a rainy day but we got a short ride in before rain gear was required.
An old building with 2 businesses that are gone. One was automotive and the other a construction company.

An abandoned store front with a ghost mural on the side:

The magnificent church that once was:

And the Pratt City Post Office 35214 has now been moved to Forestdale and renamed accordingly.
At least this one has been re-purposed rather than abandoned.
My mom worked here when I was a child and my brother worked here after she had retired.
When it was a p.o. there was a young man who decided he needed more $$ and would sell
a little bag of MJ with a single order of a stamp. Didn't last long, but he made a bundle until they caught him.:photog

Little city called Trafford, Alabama. These first 2 were on the main street.
I think the old guy to the right was keeping this place up as a storage building.
This one was the old Package Store/gas station:
At the edge of the city, I found The Church of the Air:
and an old farm house that had been replaced by a newer version nearby:

I think the kids (art class?) at the local HS were having fun with this old stripped car located across the road from the school.
Ying was having a blast climbing on it.

    Still considered Hanceville, Alabama
But this is a bit away from the town center by about 5 miles:

Shrine of The Most Blessed Sacrament. <---This link for more pictures.
They don't want visitors taking pictures inside.
    This place is beautiful!!!!
And the answer is no. I'm not Catholic. But this place is really nice.

    Ok, on to Cullman, Alabama
St Bernards Monastery/Ave Maria Grotto. I didn't pay the $8 to go in, but they have a miniature Jerusalem that was carved by a monk.
A great tourist site to see the carvings and structures he created. But I just drove around the campus. This is a photo at the front of the school.
As you enter downtown Cullman, the twin steeples are visible from a good distance.

As much as I can. Rain and flooding around here so haven't been out on the bike.
Bought 2 action cams and trying to see if I really want to add in the extra effort for videos.
Still isn't as much fun as a scooter though!!!!!
And what's happened to your posts..........?????
    I really NEED a long ride/adventure.......

Previous videos were only with my phone which were great but the phone is awkward (for me) on the bike. I also would be more concerned about loosing it or damaging it. I took one video with my FugiFilm pocket cam and it is blurry. 15 year old camera that I still use :( because it was a birthday present from my son.

I was thinking they would all crap out so I bought what I consider disposable action cams. I purchased the DBPower and the Crosstour cams off Amazon. Not of GoPro quality but for the price, even if they are stolen, dropped, get hit by debris, etc., I'll just buy 2 more.

I went by the reviews on YT of regular reviewers because the reviews on Amazon aren't exactly trustworthy due to the incentives the sellers give for 5 stars. They offer extra batteries, selfie sticks, or other things for those 5 star reviews.

2 cameras, 2 class 10 U3 cards, 2 extra batteries + charger, 2 remotes, a selfie stick, external mic, and lots of fittings for under $100. 2 extra batteries for the review.
Now I have 6 batteries and can charge 2 with my usb while riding.

Quality control not the same as GP. For example one of the remotes didn't work. I opened it rather than send it back. Just had to clean the contact area for the little disc battery and voila!!!! Remotes are not waterproof. They do have EIS. But I'm not filming Avatar here so these are doing good so far with my test runs around the house for 2 weeks.

I want to video record my rides, but I'm also well aware of how unedited videos are really boring....like sitting at a red light for 1+ minute :lol3

Raining so much lately. Today was bright, partly cloudy, and a wonderful temp. Pulled the bike out and everyone wanted to jump on it and go with me. :lol3

Finally got 'em off Enchanta and went to get a tag. Different angle of an older spot I took a shot of before.

And the forecast is rain all week!!!!! I'm gettin' cabin fever and planning 100 different trips all for the same time :photog
