Made it home (SF) around 5:15. Not a fun drive home down I-5. AC not working in van and hadn't packed any shorts/sandals because of the cold weather forecast for Cedarville.

That said, it was a great weekend camping and riding. Steve and I had a blast on our Modoc NF exploration ride on Friday, and got to top that with High Rock Canyon on Saturday. Looking forward to next year.

    Good job @Sfcootz .

Broke the new guy in doing so....

I'd also like to send a bottle of Peroxide for Steve's ear.

Although he did have some issues (with sparks and wood) and was tough to get to stop barking at times... I liked him.
For being such an elder Shepherd (I'm pretty sure 10+ years) and with pretty obvious rear hip problems he was very active. Very. I did feel sorry for him getting shut overnight in the mens rest room, on that hard cold asphalt floor. When I let him out this morning I let him sleep on my tent porch area thru them morning, where my little buddy heater was warming us up.

I ordered via chewy.com and had them send it to:

That's the convenience store where he works, yeah?

Looks like that is the Rabbit Traxx Truck Stop & Mini-Mart.
I believe that's where the guys said they were informed that Steve is most likely Maverick and owned by one of the Mini-mart employee. Apparently he (or another employee) had a Shepherd like Maverick at the Mini-mart and the discussion started there about the "walk in" dog attendee at our event (with the powder blue collar, no tags).
I'll see if I can call in the next day or two and confirm ownership.

The food should be there Wednesday or Thursday. I may call today to make sure Steve gets his food.

Thanks everyone for a great weekend
Every party needs a “ Steve” to give it that little extra something.
I couldn’t decide on which route to take home, and in the end just took hwy 299 all the way to the house.
And as I took the last turn onto the street I live on .........
The F##king slave cylinder went out on my 701.
I literally used its last useful pull to stop in my driveway.
Probably a good thing I didn’t take the long way home.
    Thanks again

So both Slave Cylinders went out this weekend on the 701's? Very unfortunate. I am glad you made it home.

Confirming that Steve's dad works at rabbit traxx. He'll be in after noon today. I let the store know that dog food was coming for Steve. I'll be sending a bag every two weeks.

I am glad it happened at home!

If I could get out of bed ... I would be happier. My worst day yet. I did make it through scuba yesterday, but not easily.

@Sfcootz, thanks a million for the low stress rally. Terrific terrain and tons to explore; will be back for sure next year. Thanks everyone for the hospitality, cold beer, warm fire, and the Steve show.

Ate a hearty breakfast at the Wagon Wheel in Alturas, dropped off @NSFW in Gardnerville, and got back home by 3:30pm to the lovely valley heat.

Friday riding in the South Warners: exploring the MVUM map and running into many snow drifts, then getting snowed on, on the way back.

Had a great trip, rode 200-300 miles every day for 4 days...my idea of mc travelin'. Thanks @Sfcootz for putting this together and giving me a place to point my front fender at. I almost never stop to take photos, and almost always regret it when I get back home, but here's a few oddballs...

My phone made this nifty panorama. Here's @Hobbes950 and @SFMCjohn after our roadside hot spring dip Friday.
