Wow, I'm shocked. I had been under the assumption all these years that mods had powers. You mean you can't just put a package in the mailbox and say "send to Joe".

Everything rally related has vaporized for me so far this year, so I aint sayin zip about this one other than I have never looked so forward to riding/sleeping in back of truck/ swearing at 22 year old KTM for amplifying my declining skill set.

If you have leftovers, the 2020 stickers could just be the 2019 stickers and a shaprie to cross out the old date.

    EVERYONE:

I received a call from the Fairgrounds Folks today. They want us to stay in touch with them because the facility is ordered shut. I'll check back in with them in early June. Stay tuned...

    :(

Been expecting that call... but I didn't want to be the one that brought it up. Fingers crossed that this shit storm moves on by then. Or next week would be ok too.

My honest to God feeling is that if June rolls around, shit is still iffy and Modoc County is Corona free I will call it off. They have two tiny hospitals to care for them, they're in a nice isolated spot and I don't want us to be the jerk that brings it there. I'll be monitoring it closely.

EDIT: Whenever we do get back up there it would be cool to somehow, someway, raise some funds for those two tiny medical centers they have.

I read your post to Cheryl. She is very familiar with the Hospitals in the area. She regularly transfers children from them to her ICU. She asked me to thank you for your concern for them.

d'aw. It's real. I love Cedarville for a lot of reasons. The last thing I would want is to cause harm to the townspeople. We've been great for the community so far because we have pumped cash into the town and I know they've appreciated our business. I want to continue being a welcome presence. If that means calling this year off or postponing, so be it. Cedarville will be there in 2021. Maybe (hopefully) we'll have a better handle on things in June but who knows? We'll just have to wait,

    Rats.
I’m stuck here with new panniers, boots, a fresh knobby tire and have been relishing the thought of this event.
I may have to sneak off deep into the forest next weekend just to remain sane
Hopefully we will be in a much better place by June.

Good for you, @Sfcootz. As much as I want things to go back to normal and be able to attend campouts and such I applaud your thoughts. These areas appreciate our business but don't need us to take any chances with their health and resources. My plans are the same for the campout I'm hosting in John Day, OR. I haven't canceled and watching to see where we are closer to the campout. The folks at the fairgrounds in John Day are easy to work with, don't charge me upfront and welcome us (and our money) with open arms. I suspect the Folks at the fairgrounds in Cedarville are the same. I love the small towns with the big hearts and helping them where possible is the way to go. :clap

@Ladybug John Day is another sweet little town. :nod

We (BARF ) just called off a rally in Taft, CA because of the SIP orders. Even if they are lifted in time for Cedarville I'll look to the town's wellbeing first.

I really appreciate how supportive all of you have been in the face of this possible cancelation. It means the world to me that you share my concerns for Cedarville.

The sac bee article tells the painful truth about rural medicine.
I was on the phone with a colleague in Mexico and they are scared shitless as they are totally unprepared for this type of scenario on this scale.

    If all else fails,

Holly and I appreciate the love for Cedarville. It's near-n-dear to us due to the fact that her sister and family live about 5 minutes from the fairgrounds. I would hate to think that we would cause any grief to such a great place and such great people.
    We will get through this.
