Called Endras BMW in Ajax today to see what they had in helmets and was told by reception that they no longer sold or service motorcycles and offered names of other dealers in the GTA for service and sales.

    No loss in my opinion.

Interesting...I took my li'l GS there for service...Owen Clarke (the master mechanic) is a good guy...always had a great rapport with him.
But then I noticed he left last winter.

It's unfortunate that Endras Motorrad had so much potential to be a great dealer and service provider but it was never realized, suffering many personnel changes. In my experience, Owen Clarke was a skilled mechanic providing excellent customer service who probably held the place together. When I last booked my bike in for a 10k service, it was performed by one of their auto mechanics.

Good lord, done by the auto mechanic?

So what BMW dealers are left in the GTA that do bikes?

AFAIK BMW Toronto, Budds in Oakville, Maranello that's all I can think of.

Owen was good. Anyone know where he went? It would be worth following him.

I bought a new GS last year from Downtown BMW. Most of those guys are from Endras anyway, Adam in sales. By the time I got through the brake recall it was late in the season before my 2000 km service. They have a guy that does a milk run all over the province for their customers, free pick up and delivery. He came out to Cobourg during the lockdown and took it into Toronto. That's good service. Bought a number of bikes from Endras , heard the group was sold lately. Looks like Owen went for something slower, he is/was a great tech.

LOL. I had to drive 3.5hrs to get to Endras and stayed overnight more than once at the Hilton up the street.

Stopped at Budds today and picked up a new helmet. Their set up reminds me of Endras.

Wolff is an option for me and only 2 hrs away.

Terrible news, just had my 20 K done last month by the car tech that has been training and is a bike enthusiast.

Downtown is close to me but are always busy.

I have no problem riding far for anything as long as it isnt into the city. I hate hate hate riding into/in the city. Or across Toronto. Ill happily go east but ughh..not west through Toronto.

Wolf might be willing to do pickups as well; I know they'll deliver new purchases. Worth a call. I was there the other day for some service (one last check before end of warranty). A lot nicer ride from the Kinc than to Metro. (I'm in KW).

Edit: And in case you haven't noticed - new owner as of a couple of years ago, dealership moved from east end to far NW corner on Hyde Park, so lots closer to you (and 20 mins further for me). Should be easily do-able in under 2 hrs.

I was in there about 3 weeks ago. Very nice set up and it's a motorcycle shop, not a car dealer with an add on.
That will probably be my go to as well.
    thanks

Shitty that Endras shut down their bike dept. I bought my first F800GS from them after being fucked around by BMW of Toronto. They were good to deal with and get stuff done. I even took my car there too as they weren't a bunch of dinks like BMW of Toronto.

I think I liked it a bit better under the previous owners when it was ONLY BMW motorcycles, but the new shop is pretty nice too. The McQueens treated me very well over the years.

I'll vouch for Peak Powersports in Barrie. They're mainly an Indian and Polaris shop, but as mentioned Ronn Moffatt is the tech there. My buddy and I both bought our bikes there. He called about getting the brake recall for his 310GS and the person at the service desk had no idea what he was talking about. I had a bit of annoying back and forth with them regarding some accessories.

BUT, having Ronn in the shop makes it worthwhile for me. You can usually talk to him directly and get everything straightened out.
