Damn Dave, some of those shots are just flat out amazing. Good to see you post again.
2 wheels or 4, Dave being Dave is a good thing!
Thanks man! I think for the last year or so my passion has definitely been getting quality over quantity shots. Which is part of why recording a day or weekend of riding is becoming difficult, I'm not as interested in getting shots that convey the entire ride. But any day I'll talk your ear off about what it took to get one special moment in a photo
You know the older I get the less I care about what others think of what I'm doing at the moment, but it sure feels good to see a comment like that! Yeah, I don't change much, just circumstances.
I've been missing your updates. This last one, I really think you've moved up a notch or two in quality and content. These are great shots! Thanks for sharing.
When photography becomes fine art...
Can't even pick a favorite.
Thanks for sharing DD.
Awesome photos Dave. I'm glad you're still here
Thanks! This photography thing reminds me of my early riding years in a way. Constantly trying new things , learning from mistakes and enjoying the moments when it all just comes together.
Just a guy with a camera. Never more than just enjoying what I'm doing. Glad you dig it to! Thanks
They'll have to shut this site down before I leave
Nicely replied there young padawan
Pleased to hear you're okay.
Hot Damn! Those are flat-out wonderful.
That's a really nice pic, but I'm seeing a lot of purple fringing between the trees and clouds. Did you forget a slider in Lightroom? :)
Wow, Dave! Just, Wow!
Keep on doing what you do.
Evolution is a good thing. It refreshes the soul.
Wow. only 22 posts Tony and you just succinctly stated a universal truth. Well said. I'm going to steal that little truth and spread it across my little world.
Jibber jabber and click on Dave!
I'm just a cell-phone snapshooter compared to you Dave, but I also find it difficult to mix two wheels and photography. And lately my two-wheeling has been on my mountain bike, often hauled in my 4wd truck to remote locations. So I understand your situation. But however you get your pictures, please continue sharing them here!!
??? meaning . . . .
I've seen plenty of awesome photos from cell phones and point and shoots because the person was in the right spot/right time. No need to compare anything, if it looks good it IS good, and whatever level you are at if it brings you joy that is perfect.
I don't think that mixing motos and photos is inherently good or bad. Sometimes the bike is a better tool, sometimes it's not. The key is to picking which time is the best for each tool and maximizing that. And sometimes that is just my mood Glad you're enjoying them
Good eye Scott. Rookie error.
Thanks. I will. And Yes, it does!
I gotcha I wouldn't know what else to do....
Referring to DD's post about not reading along and just enjoying toe photos!
I added the click as in old school camera shutter.
Such great inspiration. And quite humbling as well.
A pinnacle of landscape and outdoor artography... And in a region of the world I have such an affinty toward.
This thread and your impressions always impresses.
You've definitely motivated me over the years to shoot more, which I'm forever grateful for.
That second to last image is AMAZING!
Ahhhhh......it's good to see you posting again!
