Hi! from the other side of the earth

I just read through the entire thread and just wanted to thank you for such a nice rr and all those stunning pictures, I really like those jumping pictures @ grand canyon I think it was. You have an eye for photograpic compositions, keep it up!

Sorry to hear your journey came to an end this way, hope everything is ok, wishing you all the best with whatever has happend.

Anyway I feel I have been part of an amazing trip and I'm glad to see that there are still so many people with their hearts in the right place.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the pic! What lens were you using for this? Is it a two-shot panorama? I'm wondering because when I've been in the mountains I haven't been able to get that much horizontal width without doing the photomerge thing.

    Hope you're doing well....

    Erica,

Thanks for a great trip. I was only there with you in my mind but it was great none-the-less.

Hope you make it through the family troubles well, very sorry to read that. It happens to all of us at some point, but I feel for you.

I hope you get out again soon. You have a great photographic eye and a charisma that comes through even online.

    Kudos. :bow

Thanks Erica for the report and beautiful photos, and thanks to everyone else who contributed with thoughtful replies. This is a great community.

This was the first RR I stumbled upon as a noob adventurer. It pushed me over the edge. Post #1. :D

I just spent like 4 hours reading all this.

Never in my internet life time has a forum post made my emotions jump around like this one has.

    Your an amazing person Erica.

You have done more adventure on your bike in this one ride then I will probably ever dream of on mine.

    Thanks for sharing.

I hope in the fullness of time, you'll retain the good memories of this trip and the bad, the last few days, will recede in your memory.

    Erica,

Yours is now in my top three RR's I've read since joining the ADV Fellowship. Sorry to hear of anyone having bad news when it comes to their family.

Thx for taking us all along and I'll be looking forward to your next great adventure. If you are passing through Sacramento I'd love to ride/share a meal with you.

    ADV Randy

P.S. Thx for closing with that we should all tell our loved ones how much they mean to us. R

Thanks for taking me along on your epic Coast to Coast Great American Food Tour! And thanks for keeping me inside all day! I'm on a little trip of my own right now. I left Canada Nov. 17 and I'm in my hotel room in Medellin, Colombia right now and I couldn't stop reading your report and admiring your pics. Great job! Sorry about the way your trip ended. I hope things are as good as they can possibly be for you and your family right now.
I'm planning a trip through the states next year and will definitely be contacting you for culinary suggestions when I get out your way. (I'm kind of a pig too!):lol3
Best of luck to you and thanks for several hours of reading pleasure!
