Hi b4! Great report, keep the pictures coming.

In an earlier post you said you got insurance on your EU bike from Border Insurance. I tried to find them with Google without success. Can you share their contact info?

    There are two companies.
Tourinsurance.de is the one i was referred by ADAC ( German insurance agency ). I don't have a personal experience with them but looks legit.
I used Labagola.com. contact name is Dooby, he is a member here.
The rate is same. Good luck.

Thanks for the support, man. I'm notoriously uncommitted. One thing for sure I'm going back to Dublin to store the bike.

Left Trondheim early morning. It rained a bit. Local rider gave told me to take the back roads.
So I rode out of the town via local back road and got lost. It started rain and I was crawling on a local gravel road. It was slow but fun.
I didn't wanna go there so I went the other way.[IMG]

Went to Oslo. Next day I just picked a spot in the mountain and rode till my add hurt. Endless twistys, man.
    Next day I took off.
That was the denouement of the Scandinavian ride.
If I have to pick one country out of the greater Scandinavian area, it has to be Norway. Absolute must for motorcycle journey.
I met so many Harley riders, seems more HOG than USA. The Scandinavia is great for HD guys; wide open road till your ads hurt, no traffic, great support group, etc.

Just because I was in Denmark for couple of days before and the hostel I booked was one of the tallest in the area, I got front of the hostel like a pro.
On the way to Hamburg next day I got hit by the sudden thunderstorm. Sky became dark and lightening sparked in the distance. I got wet instant. I got off motorway and got lost immediately. If you ever been European motorway you'll know what I mean.
Off the motorway pass Hamburg I found myself a tree, mind you I've seen lightening.
Under the tree I put on rain gears and in process I got more wet.
I was expecting to get to the hostel in about an hour from the Hamburg. So I was pushing it a bit. I was hungry and tired.
Also I lost my bearing. I could at least tell the direction when the sun is out. But with thunderstorm, I'm so lost. I can take my map app out because it'll get wet.
I found a bus stop and got dry up a bit.
Eventually I arrived at the truck stop and decided to take care of things that I'm able to.
While munching on Germany Truck stop snacks driver from Ireland asked me about the Irish plate.
He gave me good direction to Rotenburg. It was secondary roads.
I got to the hostel and with less than 50 Euro I got a private room with breakfast included. They also allow guest to use laundry machine and dryer for free. Very good deal.

Nice report! Just got back from a nice ride through England, Wales, Scotland (Orkney Islands) and missed out on Ireland, so very glad you took the time for some photos and reporting. I'm an American living in Germany and if you make it back through my area: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rheinland-Pfalz drop me a note if you want to meet up for a coffee or drink. Always nice to meet up with a fellow advrider.com member. Otherwise, keep up the great reporting and have a safe journey!

I arrived in Paris at a nice hostel with great motorcycle parking.
This place is run by a old Korean couple. Korean style breakfast and dinner is included. I'm booked till Thusday, but I might stay longer.
7.2 % alcohol beer. All for less than 7 Euro. Viva la France.[IMG][IMG]
