I found the tunnels on the best motorcycle roads in Norway to be wet, dark and narrow.

Stayed at the camp site. This place is for bikers. Place is run by Dutch couple. Great riding getting there.
They serve home made dinner and breakfast. I rented a cabin and had few beers with European bikers. Good vibe.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

After Bath, I went to a small town named Cardigan/Albertifi in West Wales.
I checked into a secluded hostel with fantastic view.[IMG][IMG]

I just stored the bike back with Joe at J.P. Motorcycle.
The little v twin did amazing job. The Metzler Tourance also held up fantastically well over 10k miles.
Only thing I did was to adjust chain and changed oil/filter. The bike ran flawless.
Last ride to Dublin I pushed the bike over 6k RPM at 85 plus MPH. It heated up more than usual at 40 %, still below the middle mark. Also fuel consumption went up but other than that it was steady and solid. I was very impreesed.
This mini v twin has character. It started in first push at any condition and works in between your legs like a faithful.
This I have to salute to Mr Honda.
There were time on fast motorway I wish I had my GS, but that was a brief moment. 99% of time I had a grin on my face.
The Metzler Tourance also did it's job. I still had plenty of threads left after 10k plus miles. I'm a fan of K60, but for this size and pattern, Tourance wins.
I don't have GPS other than on my smartphone. Google Map was wonderful and adequate for my ride. 4G connection is available every where in Europe.
GPS would helped in navigating through country roads for you will encounter numerous round about. I did get lost hundreds of times but every time I got lost I found something interesting. So here is my thought; Only way to find your way is to get lost first.
It is frustrating at times but I didn't die of frustrations. Also I feel I experience more trying to find the way instead of looking at the GPS all the time.
I used the GPS once for my other ride and after the trip only thing I remember was the GPS screen.
Getting lost is not for everyone....

    Well, that was the end.
One final thought. Don't listen to the negative voice in your head. YOU CAN DO IT.
    Thanks.

Appropriately chosen reading material since I'm heading to first Basque region and the rest of the Iberian land.

Other inmate mentioned on his report how the second time around gave him more anxious pre travel time.
    I totally agree. I wonder why. 20190512_171007.jpg 20190512_164759~2.jpg

Brilliant report. As an added bonus, as I finished the original part, you start the second part. Safe riding.
