Thanks!! Thats an old 1979 Maico Magnum 250. My parents loaned me the money when I was 16 and got it brand new. Never forget test riding a different one around the parking lot of the dealership and feeling the BING BING BING of that Maico engine vibrating into my bare hands!! Wow! So he then ordered me one of the last ones kicking around in US. Originally red of course but years ago I had a vision. Still has original piston and chain!!! Raced it a bit and then kept it around thank goodness!

Haha!! Yeah what do we know! Too funny. Her son and mine both still rent our old place. It was a wake up call for them being on their own thats for sure. "What your taking that and that?" Then the story of them standing there looking at each other when we where gone. Funny shit!! All you can do is give them advise but man they are stubborn! Sure in the future we'll get one of those "man I wish I had listened to you" stories. Oh well :D

You have no idea how true that statement is! Just moved east myself from Pugetropolis, I no longer feel like killing other drivers or feel like I'll be run over by a cager on their celly.

?If Seattle has become California del Norte', will Spookaloo eventually become San Fernando de' Orient? Makes me shudder! dd

Hopefully, Spokane will stay similar to what it is now - A great big farm town a bit behind times. :D

I really doubt it. Different mindset IMHO. I believe theres a "chill the f out mentality" too. Not so in your face hustle and bustle crap. If you just want to drive mellow to get where you are going you dont have to worry about some jack ass riding your ass. For me thats a big plus for I have been known to....i'll shut up now...haha! Easy now!

Thanks!! I think a moto track of some shape or form gets people psyched! The soil is actually ideal for it as it is semi sandy with no rocks. Also there are places to jump up/ jump down over the driveway and also a great place to have a downward landing off of a decent rolling jump etc. I know it has been a dream of mine forever and eyeball things all the time. Cheers!

We don't have a bunch of over paid interns with all the buying power and no life experiences like SF Bay and Seattle so. But we do have a lot of uncrowded back roads!

WHERE DID YOU GO? WHAT HAPPENED?? Been almost a year? 2B7ADE99-5944-40D2-8F1A-66081F7FAB8C.png

Hello Everyone!!! Boy o boy...December since last post. All is good on this end and the move is actually still in progress I could say. Pretty settled in with just the organizational skills a daily ritual. Haha!
At the beginning of the year I always joked about 2020 being the year of hindsight or at least vision related. Hmmm...its actually not really crystal clear. Not even close. Its a bluuur. None of us would have thought about things to come or that it could happen. Enough on that.. still in it and we dont like it.
Living at the new place is wonderful and wouldn't trade it for nothing. Its alot of work but oh so enjoyable. Never ends. I have still been working my week on / week off schedule so am lucky in that respect but leaving the place for my work week west of the mountains is always a struggle. Keeping busy and events all being cancelled hasn't afforded much riding time especially any big trips. Really seems strange so what are yeee going to do? Well we had had enough so we talked and made it so.
Enter Oldschoolrockers & Honeybunny's 2020 Devils Gap MOTOFEST !!! It was time to party!

    https://advrider.com/f/threads/o-hs-2020-devils-gap-moto-fest-now-with-pics.1449154/

This event was pretty much the highlight of our year. Great turnout, fun, was spoiled, ate great, met awesome people and will do it again. It was our way of saying FUCK COVID!

I'll load in some worthy pics now that I will dig up since December and try and keep more moto related. We'll see. For now thats it. Just wanted to say "Hello" and get back to normal? Ha!!!
